I posted earlier the most disturbing part of what I was told. They said they don't have time for PR. I really hope that's wrong or that changes quickly

In today's world EVERYTHING is about PR.

PR will get your ass fired in today's world more so than any other time in history.

If Hyams is the source of it being "over" then I chose to believe the opposite.

This

Hyams is my best source for all things Vol Football.

Listen to him very closely. Then process it as the exact opposite - boom - you now have 100% factual information!

If UT wants to put the Grumors to rest, they should know by now that they have to release an official statement.

This train is moving at 100% capacity, down-hill. Nothing is stopping it but another hire at this point.

They've let this get out of control.... which makes me think it HAS to be Gruden. Hart is too good to let this get this crazy.

No Tennessee has to look like they swung for the fences. So they leak that an offer was made only so his name he can be officially pulled from possible coaches. Just a theory I have that I hope isn't true.

Need a list of OG's so i can search

Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, Easy E, MC Ren, Yella, and Ice Cube.

I don't think this can be true. The Boosters will roast the AD in the papers if this was the case.

If my info is right and gruden is out they better reconsider their PR approach. Terribly unfair to the next coach

Agree completely!

This is going to look terrible for Gruden if it comes out that he strung us out this long then backs out at the last second. Something needs to be said from his side as well as the AD side.

I cant imagine the mad house on December 17th.

What was it that the Ainge show just said about a having a coach by Tuesday because the Tennessee Fund and Travis?

It's all speculation, none of these turds that are reporting on this fiasco have any factual basis for their views. It's all SPECULATION. They're putting 2+2 and getting 1.6. Hart is buying time, but he still has to conduct a search. Candidates must be interviewed for the job (to include at least one black coach). One day it's 0% Gruden, then it's he turned down a meeting, to he has a contract in hand, to it's the staffs salary that is the problem. Problem is none of these Jack Wads know anything substantial. Hart isn't giving them anything and they ALL are mad. The OG's said this would come to pass. It is all playing out as they said it would. The boosters running it, with Hart as the face. As we say on the range in the Army, Hart's taking all commands from the Tower, and the Tower is the boosters. He's doing his "search" while the boosters sew up Gruden via his agent. Gruden "sidestepped", but did not put the rumor to bed. Hart hasn't put it to bed, because he can't. If you need reassurance, go back and read the posts by some of the OG's last month, and you'll see everything unfolding as they said it would. Relax, and be positive. When Gruden is ready to be announced, we will all know.

I agree with this except the Rooney rule only applies in the NFL if im not mistaken. The rest is my take entirely

Two things: (1) I qualified my post with "if it is true...; and (2) I didn't say he deserved to be fired. I said he would need to be fired because it would be really hard for a coach to work for an AD who didn't want the coach.

That's cool, and I'm not trying to pick an internet argument just for the sake of arguing. As always, we can agree to disagree.

My point is that it very well may be true that our AD did not want Gruden. He may very well have had good reasons not to want Gruden. If he had good reason not to want Gruden, he shouldn't be fired so that Gruden could work for another AD, or because he refused to sign a bad contract to get Gruden.

I guess I'm just disagreeing to offset the rampant posts, from people with no inside info on just what is going down, who blindly profess "Gruden or fire Hart". I would find it personally repugnant to fire a guy if he was taking a hard stand for the long-term stability and well-being of the university.

:hi:

Hubbs said 3-4 hours is the very LEAST amount of time before a presser could happen that it is announced so media could get there.

So if there is no announcement by Noon we can put the rumors of today at three to bed.

UTAD can squash this quick. Issue a formal statement and be done, no need to drag it out of its not a done deal. Has this happened yet...

Soon bishes, soon.

This!! I want to believe in the Grudes but I'm not believing anything til it comes from the AD. Sitting 1000+ miles away, it's obvious none the local media know anything. Sounds like they've all been given conflicting info. Nothing is settled one way or the other until it comes from Hart's mouth. (He's not looking too smart letting this fester btw).
