Just give and give and then give some more. Maybe Dave Hart should agree to clean Gruden's Pool for him 3 days a week and twice on Saturdays? Maybe Hart could give Jon piggyback rides to and from the football offices? If the AD is tired of the demands and wants to move on, I trust in his decision.

A positive from Big Jim is far more meaningful than a negative from the AD.

The AD wants to keep it quiet regardless of the outcome. Don't want to spoil surprise if it's true or lead to more chaos if they are going a different direction.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Hart had a hard stance on AD members leaking info in the past few days as this has gotten out.

Big Jim, on the other hand, has no reason to 'confirm' Gruden if it's untrue. I guess if you want to be sinister, you could argue that it's his way of sticking it to Hart... but I think that's a much bigger stretch than saying he's confirming because it's reality.

These knoxville guys reporting that the Times Free Press info is old need to be asked ...if that is the case, why did they scramble at 12:30 AM to post stories on their websites linking to it and try to make it look as if they were aware of it before.

If you're in the media and you're ticked off that the AD has been feeding you misinformation, what's the best way to retaliate? Yep, make the AD look bad by spreading your own misinformation. The only battle that's going on here is between the UT AD in trying to control a story against a pre-established timeline and the media who's ticked off that they are being manipulated.

Anybody think Gruden might be leveraging the AD with the amount of publicity he's getting right now to try and bump up his salary? I've been following very closely and that's the only reason I can think of for ALL of these misdirections. Hart may be trying to get some momentum for other candidates to bring Gruden's side down on negotiations. Thoughts?

That's because they have no idea what they are talking about. Hyams said this AM that a contract was never even offered to Gruden. I hate Hyams, like many of you, but it's arrogant to believe we know more about what's going on then him. After all, this is how he makes his living.
