I just don't think the SEC cares that much - it's not every day you get Gruden.

I also think it's good press for the SEC.

Finally, the buzz over the weekend will be 100x better if we actually HIRE gruden. There will be non-believers that this can happen until it actually does.

I say do it anyway. They dont like it... what are they gonna do, fine us??? lol ... I would tell Slive "knock yourself out homie. We're back!!!! " and hang up..

If gruden is out, why am I fearful that Arkansas or Kentucky will have a better coach than us?

Hubbs is making me start to definitely believe that there is some AD vs Booster thing going on.

Sadly, I sincerely believe that hart is making negotiations difficult to get this deal killed. He does not want Gruden and he will exercise his ego driven power to make it hard. Then he can come back and say "it wasn't me. I tried." Then he will hire the loser he had in mind from the beginning and thumb his nose at everyone with the "See who the boss is now."

I like Hubbs... but he is as confused as the rest of the media in Knoxville right now

Not all of the media is confused in Knoxville. There is 100% a coverup going on, major media jockeying as far as UT fooball goes. There is a reason Memphis and Chattanooga have broken the 2 biggest stories so far and Knoxville is still talking about Kirby Smart and Al Golden.

He can hire who he wants but he want get booster money and be fired ASAP. The bad news is he can get his coach under contract. I dont see why he want go along. He will look like a hero.

Yeaterday afternoon i would have said 100%. Then SEC sent out a statement last night saying no coaching announcements the day before the SECCG. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Does anyone have a link to this statement or an article that references it?

I've been searching, and I can't find any mention of it in any articles. I have only seen this mentioned on message boards.
