Yeaterday afternoon i would have said 100%. Then SEC sent out a statement last night saying no coaching announcements the day before the SECCG. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

JayVol said last night that there was an SEC directive that restricts announcing a head coach for an SEC team the day before the SECCG. He was not sure but it is what he had heard.

I am sure those who have played this game of chess perfectly up until now would love for the Speculation to build all weekend. Announcement late Monday afternoon and MNF would be possibly the most watched ever. ESPN would love that.

All the big players are going to squeeze every dime out of this thing.

I just don't think the SEC cares that much - it's not every day you get Gruden.

I also think it's good press for the SEC.

Finally, the buzz over the weekend will be 100x better if we actually HIRE gruden. There will be non-believers that this can happen until it actually does.

Now, having said that, since the coach has pretty much been the one dividing factor amongst us all for the last I don't know how long, will VN unite and sing Kum-bah-yah? If so, is there a possibility that we could get a VN section setup at the O&W game? VN tailgate pre-game and all try to sit together at the game?

Morning everybody. I was up late when the Chattanooga news broke. Great to see some positive news.

JMO but I think the only thing between Jon Gruden and the UT coaching job is Dave Hart. I believe his ego is what is holding everything up. Hope I'm wrong.
