Parents may not like it but I'm sure the kids will think it's pretty coo1.
Does Tressel's NCAA troubles follow him where ever he might go? I'm not to clear about that, all I know is the guy's overall record was something like 229792 (according to Wikipedia which might be true since it's on the Internet) . That is some coaching.
The NFL has bigger revenue generators because of the apparel and their tv contract. Plus, they aren't having to fund non revenue generating sports. Plus, they have exclusivity and there aren't fifteen thousand companies making NFL shirts like with college. Plus, they will always have 8 revenue producing games. Plus, that DirecTV deal was huge for the NFL.
I do believe slice. I have stated that numerous times. Friday proves my belief correct or not.
1. The parents are the ones who have to sign for kids under the age of 18 to play football at schools. That's why you have to convince the parents that you will take care of their kids. Just part of it, and it's too soon to put him out there on the recruiting trail at a school like ours.
2. Tressel has a 5 year show cause, and we just got our probation extended by the NCAA. We have ZERO room for error now, and hiring Tressel would be like sleeping with the NCAA's wife, and not expecting them to be pissed when they find out it's us.
Al Golden would be successful at UT. He might not be Nick Saban, but he would do good things at UT.
