If rumors about Gruden wanting more money for his assistants are true, why the heck would he let this change his decision to take the job or not? Okay so lets just say for example UT only wants to give Gruden 3 million for assistants but Gruden thinks he needs 5 million to get the guys he wants. Doesn't Gruden know that he could get 1 or 2 of his guys for that price and then some less prominent people to fill in other positions? He could do just as good a job no matter who the heck his assistants are. The very fact that he is head coach means that we will have every major recruit looking at UT as a top choice. And once he has his recruits he will have a top ten program competing for SEC championships, which I am sure is his goal in taking the job. It is just hard for me to believe that Gruden would be happy with the money that UT is offering for him but not take the job because he cant get the "perfect" staff to coach with him.
