I think this is exactly the outcome Sexton wanted when he leaked the story to the Memphis station.

But to what end? What does it accomplish?

I really want to believe Gruden is coming, so here's some interesting thought (again.. this is only hopeful thought..)

Sexton talks with UT about Jimbo. They tell Sexton they are not interested because they already have Gruden. Would the AD say that? It's possible.

Sexton, being Jimbo's agent, but still orange to the core, decides to do what he did with the Kiffin story and share the details with the Memphis station to stir up some hype in anticipation for the announcement.

Probable? Maybe not. Possible? Yes. FWIW

Schools don't comment on candidates they are or are not considering on the record. My guess is they leaked the info on purpose to hubbs and jimmyH so we would move on.

Here is something I can guarantee. The OG's will take their lumps like men if Gruden doesn't come. But those of you who are saying he's not coming will be completely invisible if the OGs are proven right. You see, for some of us it's not about who's right and wrong, it's about having the guts to say you're wrong when you're wrong. But given that most of you like to follow radio hosts that just move onto the next topic vs. admitting they were wrong, we certainly can see what example you are following. LOL

If he is hired i'll start a thread saying how wrong i was. i'm not scared to come back, we'll see if the og's are i guess....soon.
