Arkansas' coaching search is being conducted so much better than ours.

Their fan base can clearly see Jeff Long is working hard.... He made an offer to their top choice, Jon Gruden. Gruden declined. Okay no big deal. They moved onto to their biggest rival and made their coach a huuuuge offer. He declined because he got a raise.

At the end of the day, their fan base can't be upset because they know their AD did everything he could to get a great coach for their program.....

Can UT say the same about Dave Hart??? At this point, I say no.

I can't understand why "they" leaked a cancellation of a meeting that no one knew about.

At this point it doesn't matter who Hart hires he has made the UT fanbase turn on the program.. With Hyams reporting dumb sh!t people will assume Hart messed it up.. This is a freaking disaster

Greg Roman would be good, but he's on a Superbowl caliber team.

Ive been skeptical of the Gruden rumors this whole time and remain that way. It just doesn't seem plausible and seems like a troll job that picked up enough steam the media gave it a little publicity.

And for all these people saying Golden would be a good hire, get out of here. Haven't we learned already where making hires like that get you? CLK, CDD... Golden will be added to that list if we go that way. All the other little names with a couple years of modest success at lesser programs too.

Agreed. And academics would still be getting their $18M from Athletics over the next few years. Jebus, this rollercoaster is absurd.

If I was Jon Gruden and having family in Tennessee I would want to make a very clear statement that this was none of his doing. For those that did set this up they should be run of this state. Back to Bama where they belong.

Hyams is just reporting a rumor based on a rumor.

His sources say a meeting was cancelled.

The whole idea of there being a meeting was a rumor to begin with.

Hyams sources are sh!t.

Calm the hell down... you're upset over 2 guys, who just hours ago claimed all of it was BS, and now are claiming to have known about a meeting and it has been cancelled!? Hyams of all people? Just let it play out...

He's right. I point blank asked him recently and he said he was 80%.
