IMO, our chances of landing Gruden plummeted with the news of Gruden declining to meet with Hart last night and then making his Mike & Mike UT/Browns denial.

Not sure what to think about it. I do not ever listen to Hyams anyway. He has been dead wrong in the past when he has said 100% about things...and he stopped short of saying that. He said, from what I have read, that a meeting was cancelled, didnt know why, or anything of the reasoning behind it. Was it delayed for a day? Did the interview on Mike and Mike cause problems? Did Sexton succeed in his WREG leak in Memphis?

I have more questions than answers if this is true.

IF, and I mean IF there is truth to this, Gary Patterson is one of the few names that would keep me giving a **** about UT football. Sorry I enjoy UT football, no other sports except outdoors stuff. I can only honestly say I would maintain my enthusiasm and contributions with very few hires outside Gruden. Patterson is one of them.

Gruden has not denied anything regarding UT hc position.

I have been adamant since the beginning of these forums that everything is just speculation and rumor about Gruden to UT as there have been no validated or concrete sources saying that he will take the job though on the flipside I do think there is a good chance because the way I see it, he (JG) has had the opportunity to say no if he is not interested, it would take a quick 1 minute press conference or phone call to simply say " I am happy with my position at ESPN and have declined any offers from UT for the HC position but want to thank them for considering me". It would be very easy for JG to put this to bed but the report on M&M this morning and the report by JH a few minutes ago still leads me to belive that this is in the works otherwise if there's no interest by either party then it is just too easy to say we are not interested, just my $.02.
