Official Jon Gruden Thread XII

I wonder if any callers will ask Hyams why in the world Gruden would schedule a meeting with Hart, given that Hyams has insisted for the past week that there is virtually a 0% chance that Gruden will coach here?

I am not saying I am buying it, but I like playing devil's advocate.

:)

I will give it until Friday before giving up hope. BUT, we as a fanbase are getting closer and closer to Grudenville with our rationalizations.

The question I saw a few posts prior, however, is even more germane: What in the he!! has Hart been doing over the past month?

Wasn't it posted on Monday that info would start to be leaked to the media today as a build up leading into Friday? Stop freaking out people!!

Hubbs and Jimmy have the same source this time it seems...

As we noted last night, there were plans for Dave Hart to fly out of Knoxville to do some work. We felt like that work was in Florida, but Hart never left last night and he has been in town all day.

Sources have told us the work in Florida was to go see Gruden who declined the meeting and then of course this morning answered the Tennessee question for the first time on Mike and Mike in the morning.

Now, as we have noted coaches searches are fluid and things are always subject to change, but at this point the search for Tennessee's next head coach is centered around other names like Jimbo Fisher, Al Golden, Larry Fedora perhaps and Charlie Strong.

It tells me he doesn't know squat.

I think there is 0% chance that hymans is out-right lying/bs-ing, so that would have to mean that his sources are just plain wrong (assuming you're going with the "hyams knows nothing" line of thought). I think it's probably more likely that his sources are smarter than we are giving them credit for. This depresses me

or perhaps his "sources" are bent over out of breath laughing that Hyams believed them and put it on the air:crazy:

What is the point of a face-to-face meeting? We have phones, video conferencing, etc. The only point of a face-to-face would be to finalize a deal, in my opinion.

As a fan base I feel as though we are very close to the edge on the Gruden crap. The man craps between two shoes just like other coaches. I just want it over with.
