My controversial post of the day:

Randy Sanders was a better play caller than David Cutcliffe.

He is also the one who dialed up the Tee to Peerless bomb in the BCS Championship game against Seminoles as well as calling the entire game..He was good

Patterson and Strong would be higher on the list in my opinion. If Gruden falls through, prying Patterson from TCU would be great. David Shaw is who I would go after, he's probably a pipe dream though.

Man I wouldn't mind Patterson but I'm bot that big of a fan on strong.

A buddy of mine just walked in to class and said he was crossing the torchbearer when a tan Yukon stopped to let him by. He looked in to wave thanks and says it was gruden. He also has a pic of the license plate that is from south Florida and a bucs trailer hitch. Swears up and down it was him. I know it's another one of "these" posts but that's a lot of circumstantial evidence. Thought it was interesting nonetheless and I'd pass it on.

Please post said pic.

Sorry, but Miami fans are pathetic. Even when they were winning under Davis and Coker the stadium would be half empty unless it was FSU.

It doesn't help that they play 30 minutes from campus either. Not a fair comparison for Golden.

My bad. But at least others brought in 100's.......

Some guy called Duckman has a site called called Grudenville and they were saying this exact scenario was a "done deal". If you aren't sure who Duckman is I have a picture.

It will be renamed Peterville very soon...

Cool story, bro.

Now that #Gruden's agent is in negotiations with #Tennessee, no other coach in their right mind would come here. #NeverFillGrudensShoes

so the pieces are starting to come together now I bet Hyams is still 100% denying it saying his sources say its not going to happen. Lets get Gruden.

Not going to say he was "good," but his play calling gets a bad reputation. Lane Kiffin was a great play caller. Fulmer was decent in the Majors era.

We only have a few days left until the mystery is unravelled. Almost everyone that is in the know: reporters and boosters alike seem to know Hart has his guy and it is only a matter of time before we find out the good news. Everyone also seems convinced that the new coach is currently unemployed: such as Petrino, Davis, Gruden. And IMO it has to be Gruden. 3 days or less before history is made at UT, let's welcome the change!

Gruden 2012!!

..actually your buddy was hit by the Yukon and you are seeing dead people

That's because his play calling, the Fiesta Bowl notwithstanding, was predictable and lame. WR screen. Run up the middle. Toss sweep. Never throw in the middle of the field. Repeat!

Kiffin's playcalling is also very overrated in my opinion as well. He has no feel for the smart play call in tight ball games. He looks great when he is putting up big points against soft defenses, but in close games he almost always gets too impatient.

It's hard to argue against the fact that Hart is not interviewing current coaches and sitting in his office not flying around doing interviews. Maybe he isn't doing interviews because he can't get away from this thread and thus his work is being affected (like the rest of us lol).

I respectfully disagree. While he may be well-thought of in the industry and could probably do well, a big splash is needed. To me it would be more of a falldown, last resort hire.

Reading what some recruits have said about the state of our recruiting burns me up. The fact that Dolly Dooley came off as arrogant and had little contact with top recruits absolutely pisses me off.

We need a name to get recruiting back on par and above others in the SEC and nationally. Better talent is easier to scheme than sub-par talent, its just that simple. Big name=big recruits.

Golden may be cool and all, but our recruiting will continue to suffer for a couple of years, minimum.

I'm tired of us being the laughing stock of the SEC. A Golden hire would further solidify that.

OK, so who is your list of best recruiters? I know after this season it is hard not to want the best on-the-field coaching, but truly recruiting does come first.
