Too many moving pieces.....for it not to be Gruden......discussion of salaries, contacting potential staff, ex players, boosters involvement, ESPN, writers and media changing up....split between inside Knoxville and outside Knoxville.....salary talks and details.....18 million moved.....back to AD......kids at Webb school?
A lot of moving pieces......no one has even clearly stated that they were contacted by the University.....any coaches......
What are we suppose to tell the number 2 guy on the list.....we offered Gruden and staff 9.4 mill a year but you were our second choice so we are only offering you and staff 4.5 mill to get it done...
2nd or 3rd choices aren't going to work here.....
Gruden's name will not die.....Hart is no dummy.......even if we don't hire him this hire will be looked at as the "hire of crossroads" for this program.....we have thrown a double wide trailer at him.....what do you think he is going to do.....it's time he steps up to the plate and accepts the job.....now when.
bCarter was an original solid Grude, then got discouraged, now he is back to solid. OCI dropped a big thread announcement when he got some news and was unaware of the fact that it was old news to us. Thats why some believe he was on of the first but his thread actually came around JG III or IV somewhere...Gman is a newer name I hadnt seen or paid attention to...until the last few threads...SBV is in and out since his proclamation, but prior to that I dont recall his involvement either...
Sound about right OG's?
The thing about what Hubbs said is this:
There are now, no less than 7 major college programs in the Market for a head coach, not to mention assistants.
7.
Hart went nowhere last week and Hubbs said he is going nowhere this week, even though the season is now over.
Am I the only one that finds that odd?

Many of the top candidates are still coaching either conference championships or will likely land in BCS bowls. I believe most ADs will refrain from approaching these coaches who still have games left to play. Coaches such as Stoops, Jimbo and some of the others mentioned certainly fall into this situation.
It appears there are going to be quite a few schools who will see their recruiting turned upside down this year...and who knows how long some of these searches might last. I'm not predicting who will land where, but there are going to be a lot of schools who will be taking some big chances on their new hires.

So good news for me and a cliffhanger. Im at my orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Rappe' who is one of the sideline doctors that deals with University of Tennessee athletes. He released me back to work as I am 90%. For those of you that dont know I tore my acl in late March and had surgery late April. Playing basketball. Going back to work is big as the short term disability insurance doesn't pay what a 100% of work week does. Gotta feed the wife and most importantly the little girl. Now here is the cliff hanger. I asked the Doc if he knew who the coach would be. He said the money is together for the guy everybody wants. But he looked at me and smirked and parted with you should find out in a few days.

Yes, I'm 100% sure that nothing in life is 100% sure. For you to say you disagree is ridiculous. You're trying to be cute, it's not.
