Official Jon Gruden Thread XI

I have been keeping up with this since Gruden I and have believed he was coming since Gruden III. For me the time of an announcement is the only thing I am not sure on. This is all just based on what I have read here and who I've decided to believe. However, my girlfriend is in a senior transition to the real world type of class. She texted me a few minutes ago that Antone Davis was speaking to here class today. She then said he told the class that he would have to leave early that there was a football meeting at 11:00. He did not specify if it was a team meeting involving players. She said the professor tried to ask him who was coming and he said "well I can't say but there is a meeting at 11:00." It could be nothing to do with a new coach but I found it interesting and thought I would share and see if anyone had heard anything similar...

Peyton?

Patience. This will be over by Friday. We can then at least have something to fall back on when UGA-Bama play Saturday.

Too many moving pieces.....for it not to be Gruden......discussion of salaries, contacting potential staff, ex players, boosters involvement, ESPN, writers and media changing up....split between inside Knoxville and outside Knoxville.....salary talks and details.....18 million moved.....back to AD......kids at Webb school?

A lot of moving pieces......no one has even clearly stated that they were contacted by the University.....any coaches......

What are we suppose to tell the number 2 guy on the list.....we offered Gruden and staff 9.4 mill a year but you were our second choice so we are only offering you and

staff 4.5 mill to get it done...

2nd or 3rd choices aren't going to work here.....

Gruden's name will not die.....Hart is no dummy.......even if we don't hire him this hire will be looked at as the "hire of crossroads" for this program.....we have thrown a double wide trailer at him.....what do you think he is going to do.....it's time he steps up to the plate and accepts the job.....now when.

Completely agree. And, totally dig that avatar! Just got back from fishing in Nantahala for native brookies, had a blast!

AGREED! Its time to get onboard or get out of the way! Too much saga for the program at this point.:peace2:

The thing about what Hubbs said is this:

There are now, no less than 7 major college programs in the Market for a head coach, not to mention assistants.

7.

Hart went nowhere last week and Hubbs said he is going nowhere this week, even though the season is now over.

Am I the only one that finds that odd?

To answer your question... no, you're not the only one! In keeping with the "silence is deafening" theory, I take it as a huge positive.

Hurry someone tell me who the next coach will be, I'm about to bet five bucks

LOL....awesome. Almost reminds me of that Beggin Strips commercial....

I think I will get a deal with Haaslam to instal Zanex machines in all the restrooms at Pilots in Knoxville and the entire state of TN. :dance2:

Correct me if I am wrong but the real OG's are: OV, Boro, Jay, DTO. I am I missing anyone? I think some of the others that seem to believe now are: bcarter, Gman, SBV, OCI and maybe another or two were skeptics in the begining.

bCarter was an original solid Grude, then got discouraged, now he is back to solid. OCI dropped a big thread announcement when he got some news and was unaware of the fact that it was old news to us. Thats why some believe he was on of the first but his thread actually came around JG III or IV somewhere...Gman is a newer name I hadnt seen or paid attention to...until the last few threads...SBV is in and out since his proclamation, but prior to that I dont recall his involvement either...

Sound about right OG's?

Pretty sure you can already buy Xanax in the bathroom of any Pilot in Knoxville.
