He said AND I QUOTE "If Gruden deal is done (and it's not)" meaning it's in the works.

I read it as a direct shot at the people in this thread saying its done. I didn't read it as anything more than that. This is a quote that hearing the context and tone of voice would be nice to validate one of our impressions.

True. I can read anything to make it sound favorable to my argument.

So it's his fault we lost all those games? I thought it was Dooley that got fired.

Look guy bray has the arm no doubt but he has got to focus on football he is the biggest partier yes he only cares bout drugs til gruden sets his head straight he's not goin to nfl he's goin to the bench... solve your question

The hubbs post in the cliff notes is interesting. Hubbs has said for awhile long shot. Now he is acknowledging deals in works. HMMMMMMMM. And BTW, if Gruden wants us to wait until January, we should.

See that is where I disagree. We all want Gruden here. It will be the perfect hire. However, if he does accept the job, then it shouldn't be January before he comes in and starts working. That is unfair to Tennessee in every sense. The fans, the players, the administration. This isn't all about him.

I just want him. I will wait. We have endured the worst stretch of football in recent memory. I can wait another 4-5 weeks.

No its not all his fault we lost games but atleast 2 games were, rest was solely on sal sunseri's distraughted defense

Spending Thanksgiving weekend alone this year and stumbled across this board. Have to say, it's quite entertaining - a huge time suck, but entertaining nonetheless. No sources, no interest in trolling, and don't particularly care if anyone agrees, but this Gruden thing is a lot like the Peyton to Denver thing for me. When the idea first surfaced it seemed too good to be true, but the more it was discussed, the more it made sense, until one day, despite those who claimed to know better, I was convinced that it would happen because it felt right. I've learned to trust my instincts and, that's where I am now with Gruden - it's going to happen. Take it to the bank.

I feel the same way!

Hubbs statement was if it was a done deal then it should be announced so Gruden can be put on the road recruiting but the dead period does not end until the 30th. Still time IMO.

He only cares about drugs? Who the hell are you to know something like that? Stupid post is stupid!

I want Gruden just as bad as anyone else. But either of the other two on this list are LIGHT YEARS ahead of where we have been. Seeing lists like that make me feel good about the direction UT football is headed.

It is time for something good to happen to us. Gruden, 2012.

Hubbs has always been like a weather man that says 100 percent chance of rain WHILE it is raining outside.

Don't really blame him. He has a business to protect. If he dealt with rumors and was wrong, he would lose all credibility and therefore his business would suffer.

People close to Haslam are hearing 5 years for 30 mil. The other post Huck was referring to came from a 17 year old kid who works with Haslam's son. He said that last night and Huck said he heard the exact same info from people under Haslam.

Yep. That's why he is the only one worth listening to. The rest are foolish clowns with their flip flopping daily
