The hubbs post in the cliff notes is interesting. Hubbs has said for awhile long shot. Now he is acknowledging deals in works. HMMMMMMMM. And BTW, if Gruden wants us to wait until January, we should.

How did you get he was saying a deal is in the works?

The Vols get no respect from the media, saying Bray is not ready for the NFL, (3300 YARDS PASSING) with 30 TD'S But Georgia's Aaron Murry only has 2900 yards and 27 Td's
this CRAP just ticks me off every year just beacuse were on the lossing side of the record our players just are not good enough ....
I still say if Gruden comes and Bray stay's he will be a 1st round pick next year.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Bray is NOT ready for the next level. He can't even win in the SEC.

Bray is not ready for the NFL, IMO. Yes, he has all the physical traits to be a successful NFL QB, but his head just isn't there yet. Gruden could work wonders with him.

This.

Bray has barely progressed from the UNC bowl game his freshman year. He still makes amazing plays followed by a stretch of bad ones when it matters. He needs to spend a year with a comprtent qb coach and straighten out his head.

If he goes to the league this year he will get a decent draft position and first contract and then be forgotten in three years.

It doesn't have to be tommorow at all. But I don't think it goes to january that would not make much sense to me at all. I still think sometime between now and 30th but i could see it going until december but at the same time if nothing is done aftert he first week of december and gruden or ut has not ruled Gruden out I think it will for sure be Gruden. I think it's done by the end of the first week of december at the latest but that's just my personel opinion. Thanks again to Boro,DTO,OV,Jay Vols,Bcarter,Jake and a few more that I know I have missed. GO VOLS LOCK HIM UP, WE WANT GRUUUDEN!!!

important date I believe is Dec. 17th is a dead period for recruiting...would think they would want it to go down b4 then.

So it's his fault we lost all those games? I thought it was Dooley that got fired.

As head coach Bray's lack of improvement over three years is Dooley's responsibility. But Bray himself directly contributed to our record this year. He had opportunity to shine in big situations game after game this year and failed.

You can tell from Hubbs comment he isn't sharing what he knows. You don't call the only person you are negotiating with the longest shot. He definitely is saying it isn't done, he also is definitely saying I'm not giving you guys everything.

Spending Thanksgiving weekend alone this year and stumbled across this board. Have to say, it's quite entertaining - a huge time suck, but entertaining nonetheless. No sources, no interest in trolling, and don't particularly care if anyone agrees, but this Gruden thing is a lot like the Peyton to Denver thing for me. When the idea first surfaced it seemed too good to be true, but the more it was discussed, the more it made sense, until one day, despite those who claimed to know better, I was convinced that it would happen because it felt right. I've learned to trust my instincts and, that's where I am now with Gruden - it's going to happen. Take it to the bank.

I too wonder if Tyler Bray could handle the super, over-the-top criticism he will receive in the NFL. Maybe I'm underestimating him, but I think maturity may be an issue. May be.
