Bring on Gruden seen where some Florida fans were saying in the recruting forum we weren't getting Gruden. I think Florida fans and the other sec schools are worried.

I am ready for Gruden tired of people saying he is not going to Tennessee. He will be a vol soon I believe. Gruden 2012

@httr24_7 is named LL on twitter. From what I could learn he is a blogger with inside connections with the Redskins. He broke news that Gruden had contacted Raheem. Ffom what I have heard he is always breaks Redskin news early and is dead on.

Wait, what are you saying? Jon Gruden has been mentioned as a possible coach at UT? When did this happen? I wish you guys would have told me about this Gruden stuff before now.

Jon Gruden must have a lot of respect for young ladies that are just trying to work themselves through nursing school. Gruden is a giver.

While I was out to lunch for turkey day I saw a guy with a vol shirt,and hat on.I ask who he wanted for a coach,and he said he didnt know.I said what about Gruden?He said no.I ask why cause most I talk to do so?He said Gruden is not as good as people think he is.

It is pathetic, sad and embarrassing. Maybe he comes here, maybe he doesn't but one thing is for sure: by loudly proclaiming him the savior of UT football before he is even hired, we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

Of all the negatives any coach sees about the UT job, the biggest would be NOT BEING JOHN GRUDEN and that is not something that can be overcome quickly and easily. Whoever takes the job - and I think there is no way JG would come here - will always feel like the second choice. And any time the Vols lose, fans will point to the coach and proclaim, "John Gruden would have won it!"

And this is not just a problem for non-John Gruden coaches. John Gruden himself would be wise to consider that even he would have difficulty living up to the myth that has been created here. He must know that a four-loss season in his first year would turn the fans against him, they would point and yell and claim that he is an imposter, not the REAL JOHN GRUDEN.

Not only are all of you setting yourselves up for heartbreak, not only are you embarrassing Volnation, you are HURTING THE SEARCH. The available coaches out there know the UT fanbase has its heart set on JG. As someone else posted, the Gruden hunt is the top trending topic on Yahoo this week.

If you really want to attract the great coaches to UT, make them see that WE WILL WELCOME WHOEVER COMES. After all, the coach knows that the love of the fans is as rewarding as the paycheck. If we continue to show that any non-Gruden hire would be heartbreak, would be failure, who would want to come here? Not even John Gruden.

If Gruden cannot walk on water, stop speeding locomotives, or turn water into wine, he is not as good as some people think he is. I think he is a good coach and would be a good fit at UT. That's all that's important anyway.
