No link but hearing Virginia Tech and UNC.....come on down....welcome to the SEC. Thought there might be some reaction from SEC and other ACC members to Maryland and Rutgers joining Big 10.

I was born in North Carolina and grew up a Heels fan. I just don't see a UNC to SEC move happening, but who knows. Money always talks, but I still just don't see it. Then again, I couldn't have imagined Maryland (charter member) leaving the ACC either.

Money does talk. UNC gets the Raleigh market and Tech has a huge DC market following.

Unc has too much power in the ACC..they are connected at the hip to Duke.

VT hasn't been happy since ACC took Pitt and Cuse bc they said it like being the Big lEast all over again...now the ACC may add UConn of L'ville. I believe VT is coming but it won't happen before 2016 bcVa legislature.

That actually makes some sense.

With the ACC looking the part of the jilted bride at the altar and the the formation of a four conference super Football/Sports Conference, it makes sense that UNC protect itself and makes sure that they get in on the big money and not sit around playing the lower division of teams that will remain, when the super conference league is established.

UNC will still play Duke in basketball, so nothing is really harmed in that relationship.

I am not stamping it's validity. Just throwing out what I heard. It came out of Birmingham (SEC HQ) from a leak or otherwise. Now spreading on AU and TAM boards.

What? About Mizzou and Arkansas, like HG said? Or what you said about UNC and VT? I'm confused. I thought HG was just joking.

On a sidenote, UNC would give more than just the Raleigh market. It would give Charlotte as well. North Carolina is a UNC state, make no mistake. More split than a Kentucky, but still a UNC state.

TT has a grating personality. He is not a particularly nice person to say the least.

I have to disagree. Granted I'm not one of his football players but he use to be the coach of my travel baseball team... the Knoxville Fire. He was a great guy. He would even help our left fielder with his class work. I spent almost 3 years with him, so I think I know him pretty well.

Not trying to argue. I just got to experience it first hand, and he isn't a snake in the grass like everybody assumes.

I checked several boards and there is no mention of Mizzou and Arkansas looking at the Big 12. They would be fools to do so, especially with the SEC money coming their way.

A lot of these coaches aren't as bad as people think man. Now Saban is an a--hole but most coaches are cool. Especially Mark Richt, really good dude over at UGA.

Still doesn't change Chiz's firing.

Only way Bama doesn't lay 50 on us this weekend is because it is in Saban's best interest for Chiz to stay. Here's a quote lil nicky made today in Montgomery Advertiser.

@MGMAdvertiser: Saban: "I personally think Gene Chizik has done a really good job."

Sounds familiar.

it won allow me to post the link from 247 Rumormill but it talks about schools and possible moves. Rumoredthe Big 12 has talked to Arky and Arky has talked with them..about new TV rights $$$$,Champions Bowl and Mizzou coming along w/ FSU and Clemson.

That is just a bunch of talk. Missouri was treated badly by the Big 12 and now the Big Ten, who turned their noses up at Missouri two years ago, is looking around for more fits for expansion. I do not see that happening when the SEC is about to get a new TV deal that will pay Mizzou millions more than what they could ever get from the Big 12.

Arkansas, on the other hand, has always yearned for the return of old days of the Southwestern Conference. It would still be a mistake because the instability caused by Texas.

Got this off aubs board this morning and it maybe horseshat, but Jeff Fisher supposedly talked with Hart yesterday. Guy didn't appear to be trolling.

You think he would leave the Rams after one year or am I think of the wrong Fisher? Is Jimbo referred to as Jeff also of FSU?
