EDIT - As to your point concerning Hart and the boosters, my 2 cents is that Dave Hart has the boosters support and I think we saw evidence of this today when Cheek agreed to the 18 mill payback. I really think Cheek is the one on the ropes.

My reference to Rich Rod alluded to the fact that Moore was going to hire him. If I'm not mistaken, Moore had even offered him the job, and RR to Bama looked imminent. That all changed in a hurry though. Next thing you know, Saban's the guy stepping up to the podium.

RR accepted then backed out the same day or next day if I remember correctly.

You and I watched the same presser. Hart almost broke down when he first mentioned Dooley, but composed himself very nicely and went on to relate, in a forthright manner, what changes are happening, and alluded to further changes. Some may call him a bammer, but I think he's all about bringing UT back - in a big way. I have this weird feeling that Gruden is assembling a dream team to rock the SEC - with sights on a bigger conference.

Anybody know why RR backed out? Or was he being played by Moore hoping Saban would accept?

Still doesn't change Chiz's firing.

Only way Bama doesn't lay 50 on us this weekend is because it is in Saban's best interest for Chiz to stay. Here's a quote lil nicky made today in Montgomery Advertiser.

Saban, spreading the midget knowledge. If Chizik is gone, what's your thoughts on Trooper? Out the door or gonna plead with the new HC?

He could stay, but I don't think so. TT is a great recruiter, but as many vols know, he is a polarizing figure. We will lose some recruits, i.e., Foster if/when TT is fired, but that is the price of cleaning house which majority of aubs support.

TT working his way south! IMO opinion, TT is good for a few years at a school and then he starts to wear thin on the program. Again, IMO, he is responsible in part for the lax attitude and discipline of players. Tough for him and kids he recruited to transition from recruiter to coach.
