Tyler Bray Career Stats

Thought this comparison was interesting. If Tyler comes back for his Sr year, odds are he will pass Manning in most of these stats. Something that makes it more impressive to me is this, when Manning took his first snap he was behind a very good offensive line, we all know what Tyler started behind. Also Manning had some great defenses to help the team out. Manning also had Stewart, Hayden, our very on coach Graham, Lewis, Stephens and Henry to hand the ball too.

No way am i saying Tyler Bray is a better QB than Peyton Manning, i do think Tyler has more natural talent. What separates Manning from the rest is between his ears and his competitive nature. Tyler has shown when things get rough he can lose his competitive edge nor has the leadership skills of Manning.

I think if Tyler starts out with a veteran oline from the beginning, stud running backs and very good defenses, these stats wouldnt even be close. I dont see how anyone can say Tyler Bray is not a good qb. I do know his attitude and desire can be questioned at times, those are two things no one could ever question about Manning.

Tyler should come back for his SR, he needs it. Maybe with the right coach, we'll see the real Tyler Bray on the field.

Not sure if it was babyavi or BB that started this discussion umpteen pages ago, but it surrounded the benching of TB. There is or shouldn't be a question if TB is a good QB or not. Personally I think he's a very good QB. But I think CDD did the right thing in pulling him at Vandy. What CDD did wrong was not pulling CP and Tyler aside and have a professional chit chat with the both of them, then send them back in. Something was seriously wrong with the offense last Saturday night, that, we all can agree on. I agree with BB that we should have just ran the ball down Vandy's throat until they puked. If we had run the ball the entire first half, Franklin would have had a serious WTF moment.

I was hoping the team would come out focused and send the coaches out with a couple of wins, they knew what was up. I thought Neal may have had a huge game just from the emotional stand point, he was very close to Dooley. Lane seemed like the only one giving his all on offense. CP done well when he had the ball, but he was lazy at other times.

Well, I'll at least concede this: Hart might have brokered the deal with Cheek, but I suspect Hart (and Cheek) were forced into that deal by people who have more money than me.

Something was very askew between CP and TB. Not sure if it was TB, but from the get go he was not very sharp. That's when Chaney should have took over and just ran the ball or got Rivera involved over the middle. Oh well, water under the bridge. All I can say is look out Kentucky, these boys have a score to settle. Gonna be a chilly day in Neyland, a pad's a popping type of day.

You don't think Hart had any hand in getting the people with money organized and on the same page? That's one of if not the the top priority of an AD, getting the people with money to do what you want them to do.

I don't think Hart was forced into anything. By all means, I think Jimmy is being force fed green eggs and ham. Either he learns to like it, or he's brick walking.

Hart wasnt forced into anything, Hart finally got the big money boosters on board with the issues within the administration. The boosters along with Hart put pressure on cheek and the BOT members. First big step in the right direction. A few more changes coming too. The best thing that could possibly happen is Cheek to be out and while on his way hold the door open for Martin so she can follow him.

So with today's movement do you have any more thoughts on the Gruden talk?

Points diligently taken. But am I to believe that Mal Moore ran the show down Bammer way back in 2006-07? Rich Rod would probably tell you real quick that Moore didn't. He was told to sit back and watch things happen. I don't claim to know the truth for our situation, but I believe the same thing is happening here.

So you're the AD and you tell Jimmy Haslam to walk? Your job is on borrowed time then.

My bad, I should have said Cheeks, but your Haslam reference brought about a chuckle. :hi:

haha! Yeah, I can get ahead of myself sometimes. I still stand by my overall point about the relationship between Hart and the boosters though. I'll just leave it at that. Carry on, everybody.

My guess, and I repeat guess, is that finally the UT AD has a man (Hart) that really knows what he's doing. He's pissed off a couple (debbie whats her name) but that goes with the turf. As for mal Moore, well he hired Saban, and we know how well that's working for them. I'm really not sure what you were alluding to concerning RR.

EDIT - As to your point concerning Hart and the boosters, my 2 cents is that Dave Hart has the boosters support and I think we saw evidence of this today when Cheek agreed to the 18 mill payback. I really think Cheek is the one on the ropes.

This is dead on about hart. Don't think boosters would push this if they didn't think hart is the right guy in the right place to address these issues .
