According to a legitimate source, Peyton manning confirmed that gruden is a done deal. Keeping Chaney and graham. Bringing tee Martin .

Just wondering, how do you think Gruden would react to Bray having a bad game? Calm and soothing aren't the first things that cross my mind.

It's easier to take criticism if you believe the person who is criticising you knows what they're talking about. It's hard to play for a loser.

So you think Bray was the problem in the Miss. State game? That's laughable. Bray haters are so funny. Backup QBs are always better than the starters I see. Bray against UGA threw one pick late. Came back and got stripped while leading us down the field. Bray blew the SCAR game too didn't he. Kid is being forced to win shootouts in the SEC. And he has an OC that panics and puts him in less than favorable situations.

Brays numbers from the 5 losses before Missouri show average at best performance. 247 ypg 54% completion percentage and 10 td 9 int. Sure they were against some of the best competition but if there are 8 NFL guys on this offense your qb has to be better than average. Now before you say its a bad game that skews the stats it is quite the opposite. USC game stat wise was one of his better games throughout the year.

Game by game
Uf 22-44 257 2td 2int
UGA 24-45 281 2td 3int
BAMA 13-27 184 2int
MSU 13-24 148 2 td 1int
USC 27-43 368 4td 1int

I'm not the leader. I didn't believe it until I received information that gave me no alternative but to change my tune. No other names are being mentioned because this has been done for a while. I can confirm that Gruden, Graham, Pittman, R. Morris, and Bisaccia will be coaching at UT next year.

What's your address so I'll know where to show up to w my pistol if it doesn't happen? :) J/K J/K

please God not Chaney.

I guess I'm alone in saying this, but I don't mind Chaney. He makes some bad calls, but on a whole, our offense was fine this year.

I think a lot of his bad calls came because he felt so much pressure to score quickly because the defense was so incompetently managed...

Same here. We are very high on the total offense stat leader board that's for sure.

I haven't followed all of this super closely, but this is a change in tune for you, isn't it? I thought you were a doubter before.

I've been a doubter all of this time, but I'm finding fewer and fewer reasons to doubt. There is a whole lot of smoke around this and too many media sources are fanning these flames...

This feels different than the Randy Shannon rumors. Very different.

If the Gruden thing happens does anybody think there's a chance he may want to run the Oregon type offense that he's been rumored to have been studying? If so, surely Chaney wouldn't be here. I would think the spread would be unlikely but it would be interesting for sure

Ranking potential coaching openings (ESPN)

Got this from aubs board. AU behind Oregon because of Nike money and just ahead of UT and Arky. I don't have ESPN subscription to see what was said about UT.

2. Auburn Tigers

Odds of opening: 9.9

Even if Cam Newton was necessary for a national title two seasons ago, it isn't as if this program is bereft of resources or recruiting fertility.

Gene Chizik, presuming he's done, recruited top-flight classes the past three years; it's just a matter, beyond Newton, of what he did with them.

As a result of recent failures, AD Jay Jacobs is on a short leash as well. This becomes a crucial hire for him. The resources are present, and the fan base is drooling for a consistent winner. Even if Nick Saban is setting the standard, all the Tigers want to do is be competitive. Given the landscape and ability to regionally recruit, there's no reason for that not to happen.

One drawback with the job is the insular nature of the community. It works for it, the whole "family" concept, but it also works against it because Auburn becomes a fishbowl for whoever is in charge. Tommy Tuberville did a nice job managing everything, and you see where that got him: Lubbock, Texas.

Maybe if Peterman is our Starting QB.

So he's reading all the press clippings now. But he was hyped up more early last year. ESPN Gameday did a feature on him last year. I'm going to blame Chaney and Dooley for his regression as a player. It's obvious they don't know how to push the right buttons. There's also a lack of respect for that "soft" coach. Chaney saying I'm going to bench him and put him back in is hilarious. He's not a skill player. If you bench him then bench him.

He's a mental midget. Talented but lacking in several other areas.

I get what you're saying, but wouldn't you say that's unfair to a coach? If your QB is making critical mistakes, you have to coach him and work to correct that. Regardless of your record, it's your job to coach and motivate the players. Was Dooley supposed to bite his lip?

There are coaches with losing records in the pro's, but they're coaches for a reason. It's not Bray's job to question a coach's validity.

SN: I'm not a Dooley supporter, I just think it's unfair to say the entire problem was Dooley.

I'll bet it's really frustrating to know that no matter how good you play, there's no way to win because the defense is so bad. That's what Tyler Bray has been dealing with all year. Not to mention a loser of a coach yelling in his face and publicly bashing him. A coaching change will be the best thing in the world for Bray.

Whether you're up 40 or down 20 your approach to the game should be the same.
