So the spread vs uk opened at UT -14 & is now at -13 with o/u of 61.

Where you putting your $$ if you had to bet?

I think -13 is too high. Who knows if UT will show up this game or mail the season in. Even tho UT's offense is capable of putting up a lot of points (if they decide to show up) UK's offense is pathetic and I don't think they'll do much even against our lackluster defense so I think 61 might be too high. Jmo tho, no way I'm touching this game.

OCI I know you are the leader of the "we getting Gruden" circle but what other names are floating around...any dark horse or outside the box guys not being thrown around by media or sources? 247 and Tony B said it's "Gruden job to turn down" but Golden.Fedora and Tressel could be in the mix if the says no....can Tressel even coach?

I'm also a Gruden believer. Grudenites think he'll be announced next Friday, day before SECCG.

Hubb's posted today that after Gruden he was told J. Fisher and A. Golden both have interest and will listen.

As for the rest of the Gruden rumors, none of them is going away anytime soon. Gruden isn't going to comment on any job and he's going to explore all of his options which would include Arkansas and any NFL options if he thinks he can get one. All signs point to Gruden returning to coaching this year but he certainly doesn't have to given what he is making with ESPN a
financial number that will grow next year with them. If Gruden returned to Tennessee, it is likely his staff would have some orange tint to it, and it wouldn't surprise us if Gruden and Peyton Manning have chatted in recent weeks about more than Spider 3 Y Banana.

Outside of Gruden, it continues to be told to us that both Jimbo Fisher at Florida State and Miami's Al Golden have interest and will listen.

Supposedly, babyvol (who is supposedly very reliable, I wouldn't know) says that he's 99% sure Gruden will be the coach, and that Jay Gruden will likely be the Offensive Coordinator. TIFWIW

Jay Gruden is one of the top league O Coordinators and potential HC candidate in 2013. Blood is thicker than water but if offered I don't see Jay passing to be an O Coord at the collegiate level.

With Dooley gone and all related distractions removed, I think we win this one big. But i have been wrong every week, so who knows.

I really want us to go out on a high note. A 52-14 type score would be perfect.

Five year Show-clause penalty---not until Dec 2016.

Bray sucked it up. No excuse but he stunk that day. Point. Blank. Period. You and BB can make all the excuses for him you want but if he wants to play at the next level or consider himself an elite SEC QB he has to play better. He makes the reads and progressions regardless of the plays called.

Considering analyzing QB play is what I specialize in... nevermind. I watched him go thru his reads and it was laughable at best.

lol okay. I never made excuses for Bray BTW

I don't dispute that he played well for large portions of those games as well... but he has proven consistently that he is unstable between his ears and his mistakes have cost us late in games that we still had a chance to win.

My overarching point is this: He has been so inconsistent and immature throughout his entire career on the Hill, that I really question whether I would want him as the QB next season and whether we would be better off going in a different direction.

Its perfectly fair for you all to disagree and just dismiss this season because the defense has been horrendous... but I would ask you - what has he been able to do consistently that gives you confidence that he will ever be a WINNING QB in this league. (Notice I said winning, not stat producing).

You make good points but I don't think we've seen anything from Worley that inspires much confidence. So, a switch to him, IMO, would be a pretty low-percentage play to turn things around. Secondly, I think the guy who puts up 44 vs UGA and 35 vs SC deserves a shot at playing with something other than a historically bad D.

My over-arching point is let's fix the big, glaring problems first.

Doesn't matter. Not necessary.

The point of qb play isn't yds per throw. It's to move the ball down the field.

I thought the run game we had going made it easier for Worley. He made the throws he had to. When you're running for 6,7,8 yards a carry, you don't have to do anything special. The pick was on CP, he is an AWESOME player to watch, but that was a bad route.

I'm not the leader. I didn't believe it until I received information that gave me no alternative but to change my tune. No other names are being mentioned because this has been done for a while. I can confirm that Gruden, Graham, Pittman, R. Morris, and Bisaccia will be coaching at UT next year.

He can coach just has to serve a 5 game suspension and would have to sit out bowl game if team made one.

His show cause was much different than the one Pearl received.

The NCAA imposed a five-year show-cause penalty on Tressel, which means any NCAA member that wants to hire him would have to "show cause" for why it shouldn't be sanctioned for hiring him, and could face severe penalties if he commits any further violations during that time. The order stands until December 19, 2016; given past precedent, it will likely have the effect of blackballing Tressel from the coaching ranks until the 2017 season. If Tressel ever coaches again during this period, he will be suspended for the first five games of the regular season, plus any conference championship game or bowl game.

Tressel is not permitted to have any direct involvement with the school's athletic department, one of the conditions of the five-year, show-cause sanction he was given by the NCAA following its investigation.

That is a bold statement OCI. I hope this resource is a good one cause these peeps will run you out of town if your wrong. I'm pulling for you to be right! :loco:

I'll bet it's really frustrating to know that no matter how good you play, there's no way to win because the defense is so bad. That's what Tyler Bray has been dealing with all year. Not to mention a loser of a coach yelling in his face and publicly bashing him. A coaching change will be the best thing in the world for Bray.

JMO but I think it's done also. How do you feel about the rumored Nov 30 announcement?

Just wondering, how do you think Gruden would react to Bray having a bad game? Calm and soothing aren't the first things that cross my mind.
