I gotta give you credit you really work hard for the Likes and stick with it. I hope you are right this time and its not another 3 amigos situation because you are going to get blasted to hades and back if this doesnt happen. :hi:

No worse than your beating a dead horse with the same old thing. Feel for your kids if you got any. If they get something wrong they really feel sure about their dad will never let them forget it.

Good one.

Funny thing is I am not bagging on him about that and have never even mention that before that post to him. Just saying the way he got roasted for that, this is going to be 10000 times worse.

head1 is a good guy. No problem with 3 Amigos references. It didn't happen, and I was wrong.

There is a bit about Hart's PC yesterday I am having a hard time reconciling. J. Graham was mentioned several times as critical to the interim though he is not the HC or the recruiting coodinator. Could he be the designated staff transition guy? Just seems odd. Or maybe with his being alum it is natural for him to be visible in this transition as a stabalizing factor?

You mean that it's too good to be true that a guy posting on a free message board has contacts inside the AD, with Boosters, with current players and on both the old and offseason revamped coaching staff?

Oh my where to begin. Do I think he has inside info? No not really, most of what he posts is put together from other places. Do I fault him for posting info, again no. Just saying with the way the witch hunt went down on him for the 3 amigos crap (omg dead horse i keep bringing it up) this is going to be ugly if something goes awry.

Try to give the guy a little credit for sticking to his guns knowing if its wrong hes already been hammered in the past for being slightly wrong. Most people would pack it in and just keep info or their thoughts to themselves but he keeps throwing it out there.

Maybe Hart has knowledge that Gruden will retain Graham...

I noticed that as well.

Hart was fairly crafty. On the one hand he stated he had no back channel communications on the other hand he made a point of letting it be known that he had more information than anyone else. So I am thinking he his walking a line that receipt of information is not necessarily a back channel communication. In other words he may have been listening but not negotiating.

Graham would be the cog that can keep this class together altho not great its not starting from ground zero. He can contact kids now, keep them on board with "something big is coming etc."

But thats if this all comes true. I am remaining skeptical just because I dont want to go all in and be let down and feel like another good coach being hired isnt Gruden and they screwed up.

I actually agree with you on this. I am not sold that gruden is coming. Would rather have to eat crow if it does come true than to get my hopes up on a long shot. :good!:

Oh dear....

@jimharris360: My sources say Arkansas has made an offer to ESPN pro analyst Jon Gruden.

I would expect Dave Hart to name a transition staff to carry on with the recruiting efforts while Tennessee is without a head coach.

Anyone with thoughts on who Hart may keep on the transition staff?

I would venture to say that Jay Graham will likely head that group up. I would venture to guess that Darrin Hinshaw and Sam Pittman may be two other coaches on the transition staff.

In his presser Hart stated that Hinshaw and Graham would be leading the recruiting efforts. The coaches will all stay on staff until the new head coach is named. If some want to take other jobs, they will be allowed and UT will not have to buy them out. Most of the coaches have been encouraged to look around.

Kind of believe that if this Gruden story really has legs that we will see more smoke this week and get an announcement after the Kentucky game.

The longer this plays out, the less likely Gruden is comming. I am for sure pro Gruden.

My reasoning is thus - we have enough money, Gruden has expressed an intrest, and he still has ties to the University. Basically, the job is his if he wants it. I dont think there is a control issue with Cheek.

I actually think a longer wait is a better sign.
