It is more important to me that they make the right hire than a quick one.... recruiting will take care of it's self with the right hire.
The last hire was a quick hire, how did that work out?
Coastypop ... I said they should make a GREAT hire quickly. I didn't say they should make a poor hire.
Surely, Hart has had a plan in place for some time. Not a hire per se, just some conversations and contingencies. He's not starting from scratch today. 100% guarantee.
Opinion: it won't be a current college head coach. The AD is financially strapped. Paying the buyout for a high-end coach would be taking it on the chin in three different ways (buying out Dooley, paying new coach, AND paying former school of new coach). Hard to see them taking this path unless it was an AMAZING hire. My 2 cents.
