what's everyone's guess on timeline....my gut says 2 weeks which would put us a week removed from end of season.

I hope they make a great hire quickly. We have the start of a good recruiting class that needs guidance, the fan base is disillusioned, and the current players are confused. Close the deal on a terrific staff and let them get to work rebuilding our brand.

It's a great day to be a Tennessee Vol people. We will be back soon.

But it is a little much to see all these former players that tweet nothing but curse words and provocative statements toward dooley to suddenly turn and talk about how sad for him they are. come on. nobody is saying kill the man. he just can't coach. and now he gets 5,000,000 to not do so. cheer up.

Here's what I hope the timeline is for Gruden. Hart will conduct a mandatory search after the Kentucky game. Several candidates will be interviewed. Gruden will be officially interviewed for the position, accept, and then finish out broadcasting on MNF as UT's next head coach.

Tennessee, which is finishing a $45 million expansion and renovation of its indoor practice facility, is considered one of the nation's better coaching jobs. One name certain to be high on Tennessee's list is former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach and Monday Night Football commentator Jon Gruden, who coached at the school as a graduate assistant in 1986 and 1987 and whose wife is a Tennessee graduate. Whether Gruden is interested in coaching college football remains unclear.

I want Gruden as much as anyone but I'd definitely take Mora, Petersen, Patterson, Gundy, Mullen and Fitzgerald.

You might end up really disappointed if Gruden is the only hire you'd be happy with. I agree with your three below Mora though. They suck, do not want.
