LWS, Skeeter, & deerpark all keep their pimp hands strong.

SBV, is solid, but called randy Shannon. And before anybody says Dooley screwed the deal in the 11th hour, deerpark has rubbished that rumor, and I roll with him.

OCI is my homeboy, but his history is hit or miss.

I only know babyvol through reputation.

The rest... I am not sure what track record they have that I should be all in with them.

BC, am I correct in assuming that your tone changed from a couple weeks ago, because your company was recently involved with the MOU drafting and signature? I believe you said that there was not a MOU, because your company (not necessarily you) would be involved if there was one. Now, that changed a few days ago...say Tuesday night? :) Understand if you can't comment.

My company has 0 to do with anything dealing with the search, but we provide services where we are in regular contact and I was told that by someone involved that I would trust with my life. He said a MOU was drafted and in Grudens people's hands and a week or so later said it was declined. That was after Bama game. Didn't see him again until this week and he said they offered 3 proposals and had an agreement on terms. Stopped short of saying the actual words "a MOU is signed" but implied that it was all but done. I am of the opinion it would take a screwup for it to not happen.

I'm not drawing conclusions, one way or the other. I read with great interest and observe. There is too much info on either side of the opinion for me to decide what is true.

I wouldn't call anyone deadly accurate when it comes to info but collectively it does seem like things are moving in a positive direction. :crossfingers:

Oci makes stuff up. Lws does not. Lws actually would have heard what he is saying. Oci sees what everyone is talking about and jumps on it with predictions and is the Rey ordonez of Volnation

Based on watching AU boards and news, there are a number of important, moving parts to these situations, including the University President, BOT, AD, former players, donors, and media. Many have their own interest and motives for their actions and often these interests are conflicting, even confrontational. Thus, what an insider may hear could be true or it could be misinformed/diversionary. I doubt the insiders on this board or any legitimate board are trying to deceive or misdirect. It simply is what they are getting for information.

Were any of the names OCI listed as a possible coaching staff mentioned anywhere else before he posted that list?

I'm just curious if you or anyone else saw or heard those names before he listed them since you say he makes stuff up after seeing what others are saying. That was
the first I had heard of any possible asst coaches (I'm talking about the first list he posted a couple weeks ago or so, not the one couple days ago).

Actually if I remember correctly OCI made the list and got railed, then got accused of being a troll over some supposed admission he was trolling when he said something here. THEN Redskins media in DC and other national outlets started naming the same names he had listed a week or two prior re-giving his list validation.

I'm trying not to get caught up in the Gruden hype b/c I can't see it happening. The names I keep seeing mentioned by people who are usually credible are Golden, Fisher, Tubberville, Smart, Strong, Patterson, & Cutcliffe. So I'm looking for the next HC to be someone on that list. IF I had to choose one of those that I'd prefer it would be one of Tubberville, Strong, or Patterson.

This is very accurate! OCI brought those names up in a list at least 2 wks ago and got hammered by VN. He gave a more precise list yesterday w/ possible salaries. As I said the other day, if we land Gruden and most of those names show up on his coaching staff, then OCI's validity should never be questioned again...and many posters on this board owe him an apology.

I don't recall hearing any names before OCI listed his but didnt know if anyone else did.

I may be wrong on this but didn't Hubbs state recently that T Martin, Hobby & another name or two from OCI's list had been contacted to gauge interest?

Agree. It's probably unlikely all the names he listed actually end up happening imo but if that list ends up being pretty close I surely wouldn't think he just got lucky guessing.

Guys not every word OCI says is gold, he is a fan just like all of us. He has inside sources that he uses to pass along information, obviously no one knows who the coach will be.

I know they're 2-3 hours behind but the college gameday crowd at Oregon is the smallest I've seen in a long time. Maybe ever. That's weak for having a team ranked #2 or whatever & in the NC race. There must have been some big parties on campus last night lol. Anybody planning on making that trip next year?

Possibly, have a friend I graduated HS with that is a professor there and a place to stay free. Really depends on what the program looks like. If Gruden is here I may try to make the trip.
