Dooley would definitely still be recruiting hard if he knew he was going to be fired. Get a clue man. It's not happening, I want it to, but it's not.
Knowing what I know, I fear this is just people talking "big". I do not doubt the story, but I know Tyler's family and if they knew something they would have said it in my presence this past weekend when we were all talking about it around them. Tyler's parents have not been in Knoxville since the Bama game and do not plan to return until Kentucky.
anyone here an ESPN Insider?
Tennessee leads list of struggling programs that could be rebuilt quickly - NCF - ESPN
1. Tennessee Volunteers
Current coach: Derek Dooley | Current record: 4-5
Even Dooley's staunchest supporters are willing to admit that Saturday's near-loss to Troy was unacceptable. But even Dooley's biggest detractors -- a group that seems to grow by the day -- are willing to admit that the program has a better foundation than when he took over three years ago. A team that was already on a slide under Phillip Fulmer grew insanely unstable under Lane Kiffin. Now that ship has been, if not righted, then certainly stabilized under Dooley, a former athletic director.
In the eyes of would-be head coaches, that gives Tennessee -- a program already blessed with ridiculous facilities, history and well-known deep pockets -- an edge over the other schools on this list.
If you are paying any attention to his last recruits.. I wouldn't call it "recruiting hard" more like FU Tennessee.
Someone needs to tell him to stay home and win a freaking game in the SEC
Other than calling people toothless idiots, post like this is why you're a tool! You call out Boro or anyone else saying we will get Gruden cause they won't reveal their sources, yet you do the exact same thing, just on the other side. If we think Gruden is the guy we are gonna be disappointed. Really, where's your source? Oh yea, unlike Boro, you don't have one. GTFO douche bigalow!

IMO Gruden will be here. I don't think he will go to a NFL Team to deal with the Ego's of the owners and players and wont give him the control he wants. I believe his wife at this point in there lives wants to come home to be with there family and with that fact gruden has always expressed his love for UT. with that being said if UT gives him Complete control over the Football program and his on jet to Recruit with the SAID Money in my previous post that has been offered by the boosters and Hart stands Down with Cheeks out of the way he will be here. IF YOU BUILD THEY WILL COME. They have been building it for the last 2 months behind the scenes offer has been made statements by the players (Bray, Hunter, Possibly Patterson) said they would come back under him. Gruden would straighten Tyler out Or have the Recruiting class good enough the First year to have someone to replace him if he didn't. What ever the out come it will be late December before we hear if the offer is accepted and signed contract even if Dooley looses another game and is fired before then
just a rumor. Twitter report that says he is their top candidate.
I've been laying low for a few weeks and checking in from time to time, and if we had to go with someone other than Gruden, Strong would be at the top of my list. Former Vol baseball player and current U of L baseball coach Tim Burke was on Basilio a few days ago and said Strong is a great leader and the football team loves him and play their tails off for him and he maximizes all effort and talent from his players. He has sucessful SEC DC experience and strong ties to florida. Him as HC and over defense and offer Cutcliffe to come be an OC. Keep Graham and Pittman. No one can deny that our best years was when Cut was running the Offense. JMO
