Source at NFL Network tells me Jerry Jones has been in contact with Gruden and is willing to give him full control over all personnel in order to land him.

No way Jones would give up full control!!!!!!!!! Has never done so since he acquired the franchise!!!!!

ok Like I said last time I posted I'm not a insider but do know a couple of big time Boosters Via Owner of the Car Dealership My dad is head salesman for. Dad just called me and said his boss Told him he talked to Tyler Brays dad and he told them that if Dooleys Stayed Bray, Hunter, and Patterson were gone Period. Tyler's dad told him Thats as of now Gruden was Coming for 38 Million either 5 or 6 years Contract.

Brays dad said if it went through Bray and hunter would stay not sure on Patterson but he would be leaning to stay if Gruden Contract went through. Said deal was not signed but was Verbal offer and would be decided on all details for sure in December. I'm no troll just passing on what I was just told after it was passed by the Owner of the Dealership after the conversation took place. Maybe be true may not I don't know what to believe anymore but this man has never lied to me in my life. He also said they were trying to keep it as quite as possible in case it fell through.

Good info. Thanks

Liars..and the lying liars who tell them....Nick Saban..."I think Dooley is doing a great job there"

Did anyone else see TB's twitter post: When I die I want the Vols to be my pallbearers, so they can let me down for the last time...

Lmao! But it is pretty harsh...

Like most here on Volnation I feel CDD has been given a chance this season after back to back losing seasons. While I always hope the VOLS win regardless of who is coaching, another loss is highly probable. Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think 3 losing seasons consecutively has ever happened at UT? If CDD is given another year I think it will kill recruiting and attendance will suffer greatly next season. I hope the speculation about Gruden is correct and a deal could be reached. If anything his persona alone would help attract top notch talent we desperately need to beat the higher eshelon teams. I don't know how UT could afford a 5-6 million a year contract and (9.3 million current coaching buyout) but maybe the boosters could make it happen. I was at Neyland stadium against Troy and have never seen that few people there. Go Vols!!

Jon Gruden-to-Eagles speculation heats up after report - SI.com

According to a report, Jon Gruden could be the next head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. (AP)

Jon Gruden is eager to return to coaching and could be the next head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles if they continue to falter this season, according to a report from the local Fox affiliate in Philadelphia.

Gruden, a one-time Eagles offensive coordinator, could be the team’s main man if the organization decides to fire Andy Reid.

From Fox29′s Howard Eskin:

“He enjoys working Monday Night Football in the ESPN Monday Night booth, but he is a coach and has the itch. I’m told he wants to go to a team that can win and the key has a quarterback.”

So, Eskin said that puts two teams in the mix, the San Diego Chargers, where Gruden is tight with general manager A.J. Smith, and they have a good quarterback with Phillip Rivers.

“And the Eagles are also a good fit for the Gruden requirements,” Eskin said. “He loves Philadelphia, thinks the Eagles will be a good team next year, and the key here: He likes the backup quarterback, Nick Foles, who he has already worked out while working for ESPN.”

No the news I wanted to hear either trust me. This guy doesn't miss often at all.

If true, Gruden would have to believe two things that history doesn't support: 1) Jerry Jones will follow through and give up control and 2) Jerry Jones will not change his mind down the road and take control back.

Time to try to lighten things up a little.

It sounds like everyone is reaching really hard for a way to keep the Gruden dream alive. I wish he was coming here, but I no longer believe its going to happen. Until I see Dooley fired I will just resign to the fact he will be our coach next year.

GOD, if I felt that way, I think I'd find a tall bridge somewhwere.
