I don't think it will be an issue because i think we win but if we don't and there is a small crowd. it is my opinion he is a goner. Now will he coach out the year? different question. Not if you believe the Gruden angle. If Gruden is the guy IMO DD will coach out the year regardless if he losses every game.
I'm of the opinion that Hart's hesitancy stems from the fact that Sal Sunseri is here largely due to his influence. And of course Sal is a major reason why Dooley is going to be canned. If Hart really wanted to "rehabilitate" Dooley and it took big $$$ boosters to stop that then Hart should be shown the damn door when Dooley is. They can leave together and be co-AD's somewhere. Hart looks more and more like a dumbass as each day passes.
Unless the new coach has all his ducks taken care of and is ready to be announced soon, I'd be surprised if Dooley gets let go before the end of the season.
Bigger things in play than placating the fans right now, when all will be forgiven with a HR hire after the season ends.
Understood, but as someone said (maybe even Basilio) it puts UT fans in the position of having to not support their team in order to attempt to facilitate a change. Most of us would prefer for it to be done and still cheer on the players, particularly against Vandy and UK.Not if you believe the Gruden angle. Saw an earlier quote from Tony B so thought I would post this.... found it very interesting
"Really sad turnstile #s from last week. A Source in the Athletic Department tells me that tickets scanned last week represent less than 50% of capacity in Neyland Stadium. Can you imagine that? Im talking 49,500 fans n Neyland Stadium for homecoming. How is that possible? No wonder Derek Dooley is coaching out the string."

I think Hart is feeling guilty, but no, I think he is the right guy who got caught when he elected to keep Dooley after last season. As a result he compromised and is in the situation I described. He probably realizes he should've popped him after the UK loss.So what you are saying is that we need to fire the gun shy Hart?
