The hopeful stubborn side of me wants to think that Ainge was laying down a smokescreen yesterday. He goes from talking Gruden to saying it is a no go. Now he seems to be pushing Cut this morning. That's like telling your sixteen year old that you really think you're going to buy him a Ferrari. Then when you go to get the car, you start trying to push the '84 Escort on the kid. How is that kid going to react? I think the fans will react the same way. Outrage.
Wishful thinking on my part?
Probably.

What's wrong with the '84 escort?:eek:lol:

I can respect your position. Others weigh possibilities based on what they know or don't. It'll all come out in the wash.

:hi:

Agreed. Trying to not sound negative lol, just not a lot to post. The thought that CJG knows he is coming back next year scares the hell out of me, because that means Dooley is back. I couldn't handle that. Would be like the baseball strike for me. I can still name the Braves lineups from the early-mid 90s but have not watched one game since the strike. Another year of Dooley would do the same thing for me and I hate it. UT football used to mean so much to me. Decades of games, Vol Navy, and the best experiences of my life. I still love the Vols but am so over the acceptance of mediocrity and my only TRUE hope for the rest of this season is that it ends with Dooleys firing. Before would be better.

I understand. It's all good my brutha. lol

I went hard from a "CDD needs more time" to a "his time is up" fan. I just see another interpretation of that recruit quote. Almost like, "CDD is out, but I'll still be here".

I think it's possible the change is a done deal, whatever it is, and the effected parties know the shake-out. Further, if this is the case, I would think some sort of announcement is imminent, else something like that wouldn't be leaked to a recruit.

Or, the world ends in 2012 just like the Mayans predicted. I'm the king of speculation... :p

I do NOT want Cutt! No disrespect but that's not what this program needs. We need a young or at least semi young, firey guy that's ready to kick someone's ass.

Interesting, my baseball experience mirrors yours, except I was a die hard Pittsburgh Pirates fan. The early 90s were epic, with yearly battles with the Reds and Braves for the pennant. I was also playing baseball in high school at that time. Then, I graduated high school, the strike happened, and the Pirates lost every single good player to bigger markets. The whole thing disgusted me.

Haven't watched a game since. Kinda sad.

"The Natural" was on the other night and I remembered how much I used to love baseball.

*oops, sorry for long digression.

Kinda the same way with the Reds. Have to admit tho...I've watched em a couple of times.
