I'm only 34. I wasn't alive during the Bill Battle days and was an infant during Majors' first five years here but....can anyone over 40 years old remember a more tumultuous time on the Hill?

I mean...this is......we're a f'ing train wreck. This university has become a punchline.

If it's not the coach, it's the AD. If it's not the AD, it's the Chancellor. If it's not the Chancellor, it's someone else.

I've never seen a bigger cluster ****.

I think I've said "this has to be rock bottom" at least five times in the last 3 years.

Dooley might not the cause of it all but he sure as hell isn't the cure. Gruden? No Gruden? Just fix the damn problems.

Only thing I can say to that is look at the financials.

I'll put it this way. There is still just enough wiggle room to have had some doubt creep in and that is acknowledged by nearly every poster insider or no. Money talks and may do plenty of talking the end of this week but it also sounds like a few people could hold this up or cause issue at least for now. Unfortunately for us time is money. A guy like Gruden can and could get cold feet. He has before, more often than not.

Dooley has one hell of a shovel.
He just keeps taking us to uncharted levels of rock bottom.

I am so confused. What happened to the "DD is done and has been told he is done' talk that so many have shared?

Here is what i can gather. I do not claim to be an insider, a source, or anything else. If anything, i have good ears. So, here i my two cents worth. As Dooley would say to us, "THIS IS A PROCESS". :birgits_giggle:

So, you are saying its like a Bruce Hornsby song?

I find it hard to believe that Haslam would bail us out with big money. Usually men of his stature get the ball rolling and may donate initially to get something rolling. It seems as though he would be a proponent of an independent AD so it would not take money out of his pocket. Likewise you cann't tell me that if we were back and seats were full it wouldn't generate enough income to give back to University and UTC and UTM. It would be a no brainer for me. Do you think the votes are in place?
