Kentucky is apparently going after Rex Ryan...doubt it happens but thought it was interesting. Probably just a rumor.

Will someone please explain to me how keeping Dooley in place helps make a homerun hire? I can't see any logic there? If anything, it hurts, because you can't negotiate anything official and you can't cast a wide net, because everything has to be kept quiet.

Maybe there is a great name out there who would be interested, but you aren't talking to him? Maybe he'd give you a nudge if he knew for certain you were looking? Most coaches wouldn't want to discuss a job in depth until the old coach is let go.

It let's you approach agents behind the scenes to gauge interest and essentially work out terms for a contract. That way, when you fire your coach and make a formal offer, you knwo it will be accepted and you don't get the ESPN headlines that "UT has been turned down again."

That story is getting legs. Kentucky is definitely getting a foot up on the competition. I think his feet are on unstable ground in the New Meadowlands.

They should go after World Wide Wes for their football coach. Then it wouldn't be a big deal that the University was paying him.

OCI, you might have already posted earlier but whats youu opinion on whats going on. are you still confident that gruden is coming???

I would also add that they would be running away from this thread rather than running to the thread if they were lying.

This deal isn't over by a long shot. It's just getting interesting, imo.

Sorry about leaving you out of that list Jay, I look for your postings as much as I do the others.

Feet, hahahaha, you said feet. He's has a thing for feet remember. Maybe they are telling him, "The weather down here is warmer, you know that means more open toe shoes/ sandals , right coach?"

Since nothing can be resolved with Gruden till the end of the season anyway, while there is a chance (even a small one) that we go to a bowl this year. imo Dooley will finish the season before being let go. If he is fired now I can hear ESPN and other sports media saying "UT fired Dooley even though he had a chance at a bowl game." If we lose another game that is left I think he will be fired the next day. This is JMO.

I honestly would not be surprised to see Petrino at UK.

Calipari and Petrino....two peas in a pod.

Major selling point IMO.. that and the whole KFC thing. It could work.

LOL @ TB: "Oregon is going to do some stadium renovations over the summer and put an extra zero on the scoreboard in advance of playing Tennessee."
