Again, all the AD has to do is look at attendance from Saturday. If they keep Doolander for next season, they just as well burn the mother******* stadium down. Or at least tear off the upper deck, because they won't need it after Orogon hangs 80 on us next season.

you think they will stop at 80?

Tony B. is what I want from my sports radio host. He is entertaining. He is passionate. He is a FAN. He is also not arrogant but self-effacing unlike most talk shows in this town.

We just accepted Omari Phillips, a 5 star player that Florida couldn't get in. How is our standard so much higher?

The question concerning Phillips was whether a grade should be counted. We said the "C" was ok. Florida said the grade was from a diploma mill and would not accept it. He was qualified at either place if you accep that grade.

So, pretty much the opposite of Rucker. Got it.:)

Keys to being a great radio host: listen to Rucker's show. Do the opposite.

Only if it helps us to get to where we want to be. Sometimes, you have to forego the emotional response if it serves a better purpose. If keeping him in place serves a purpose (i.e., making a home run hire), then I don't have a problem with it.

I just hope that those in charge have a plan. I am starting to get concerned that they don't.

You make good points. I have thought all along the same that an emotional response would be the wrong thing to do but now I'm thinking it is the logical thing to get this guy out NOW. Almost losing to Troy at home convinced me that no matter what workings are going on behind the scenes Dooley should be gone by 5 today.

I'm currently at his remote at Mulligans eating lunch. This is the biggest crowd I've ever seen him pull.

He just gave me tickets to the ballgame tonight.

Sometimes I wish Basilio did color commentary for UT games just for some laughs.

To continue the Basilio love train for little longer...ever hear him do play by play? He puts Kesling to shame. Of course that isn't saying much! Tony is really good though.

Its like a HS band director once told me, "People don't come to see the football team, they come on Friday nights to see the band." He was quickly told, "you charge $6.00 a ticket next Friday night and see just how many people show up!"

At Desoto Central our football team didnt win a game my entire senior year. The band has more Championships then any band in MS. People literally fill the stadium tp watch the band and leave at half. Still have my State Champ ring from '11

My info is and always has been that Gruden is the target. I'm riding with that.

Boro, you and OV are the only reason I see Dooley still in place as a positive sign.

I cannot see any reasonable manager contemplating his return for next season. I think they are only keeping him in place so they can make a home run hire behind the scenes.

I haven't had the pleasure. I'm sure it is entertaining, which is all I ask (compared to the current radio team)

Will someone please explain to me how keeping Dooley in place helps make a homerun hire? I can't see any logic there. If anything, it hurts, because you can't negotiate anything official and you can't cast a wide net, because everything has to be kept quiet.

Maybe there is a great name out there who would be interested, but you aren't talking to him? Maybe he'd give you a nudge if he knew for certain you were looking? Most coaches wouldn't want to discuss a job in depth until the old coach is let go.
