Personal feelings. I still believe he started the ball rolling to where we are today. I don't believe he is qualified to be an AD....he's a coach. I'm afraid he would be very heavy handed with the football team because of that.

On the other hand, what I am told is some would like to hire two AD's with different roles....Fulmer, to glad-hand and raise money, and another known name to be the administrator. I might be ok with that.

What names are you hearing? I can't remember his name to save my life but who was the guy that saved our bacon with the Kiffin crap? He headed out west right - maybe they can pull him back in?

I should have said says on the record, but the sentiment is the same. People who were once more positive have lately been less so. Everyone that is other than some posters on a message board who claim to have sources. No offense to Boro ect. but there is always the chance you're being misled or fed bad info.

yes - but who's to say that Ainge isn't being fed bad info - its rumors and speculation - so it should be expected right?

This sounds plausible if anticipated shift happens. Is that an incorrect assumption?

Yes....and the other name is a pretty good one. I could get behind the Co-AD scenario if true.

Just understand, this runs so much deeper than football.

I haven't completely backed off my hopes, just am continually getting negative messages last night and now into this morning. Saying I am 50-50 is being very optimistic. It is becoming increasingly apparent as the morning goes along that something happened that is not positive. Ainge is more keyed in than a lot of you think imo.

I never said it was done, but that it was in the works and very close. SOmething happened, and I bet (not info) it is concerning the rigid academic standards that make it hard for UT to recruit against SEC schools and UT's unwillingness to get in line with the Bamas and LSUs.

Its a damn shame to have a 5 star lining up across from you that cannot play for your team because of a different set of standards.

Thats why this board meeting is so important.

I think Freak is behind this whole thing to generate more $ from the hits this site is getting until a decision is made :)

We just accepted Omari Phillips, a 5 star player that Florida couldn't get in. How is our standard so much higher?

Interesting.

Thanks Boro.

If true then there's no way we'll get anyone worth their salt to come coach here while this is occurring. And certainly not JG.

The problem I see is that there is no way in hell we get a coach in here that has other options if this is the snafu it seems to be. If we are looking to replace Hart and Cheek then no wonder Dooley isn't gone yet!

David Blackburn. Great guy....doesn't want it from what I'm told.

More than meets the eye...its coming together...and also why we have had a delay in any coaching issue. Lay the foundation first, then build the mansion.
