Man...you have no idea how much I was pulling for Troy. I wasn't able to watch the game but when I saw that UT was up by 1 at halftime, I literally yelled out loud in joy......guess I'm not a UT fan anymore

I don't believe many were hoping for a loss, it's what we come to expect to happen. This team has talent, but isn't coached up well at all. Dooley is about a snake bit coach as I have ever saw. And he hired another one that's just as bad (Sunseri). Saturdays game was in line like most we have come to see. We lose because we give up huge plays, simple and clear. Fortunately our offense was able to score enough to win and Troy had no time left. Wasn't hoping for a loss, just kinda expected it. That's Dooley karma.

Idiocy. There are no bandwagon fans. None. Our team sucks, has sucked and will suck as long as Dooley is coach. The only fans left are absolute hard core fans. I will never root for a loss but to imply there are bandwagon fans is dumb as dumb gets.

Oh, cool. Fans saying other fans are not "true fans" or "VFL" if they root against the team winning. So let's all circle the wagons and sing campfire songs since winning means so little.

Cheek and the UTAD are the ones that divided the fans by selecting an incompetent Dools to begin with. And rather than quickly fix the problem after last season, they publicly back him and help him by securing the services of a couple of assistant coaches, one of which that has destroyed the defense and program in the process. Yet, said Dools is still the HC. So instead of going after each other, at least know you are being used to delay the inevitable when you go after fans that know the score.

I am in neither camp because I will not play Cheek/UTAD's game. If they win great. If they lose - whatever. But know that they get no more money or attendance until the problem is addressed.

Dooley has us playing an exciting brand of football right now.Who could leave the stadium or turn off the TV yesterday with that tight football game. The game could have gone either way until the very end.........nah just kidding we suck.

IT is the DEFENSE. New coordinator new scheme, completely new Staff----. Sal was evidently NOT the man. Who picked Sal? Hart in on it? Dooley cannot take the blame for a bad hire----especially when he was SCRAMBLING to put a completely new staff together. Sal came highly recommended---and we are talking about coaching 3 stars not 4-5 stars on D. (with a couple noted exceptions) Just a couple. Dooley has had a rough road from the get go. Think about it. No Damn luck at all. DD is the head coach----the assistants are entrusted with getting the team ready----ain't happening. A head coach is ONLY as good as his STAFF. A Staff is only as good as the TALENT. Defensive backfield is woefully lacking talent. Dooley started with a rag tag unit; and a good QB & Receivers. Recruited the current O line (very good too) Has not gotten a class A RB. It has been a horribly difficult assignment. Just the facts, maam.

I wish there was a way for the players to win and not let the coaches take the credit. That's my stance. Good job on the players' part...the coaching staff can suck it. I don't know what kind of fans want to keep mediocrity. Just like someone said on TSR, "Wanting a new coach is not giving up...it means I care that we are a successful program."

Sometimes things need to get worse, so that they can get better. I hope UT can win out and win a bowl game , but I would not bet my money on it. More likely, we will lose either Mo or Vandy ( maybe both) then DD will have passed the point of survival. If he stays , say at 7-5, it is gonna be a long time til we are on the same level as Bama, or Fla. The amount of improvement in 3 years is hard to see. Maybe a tiny bit. Three years is long enuf if the coach knows what he is doing. He told us ( Vol fans) that the SEC wasnt going to kick us around anymore - he lied, they have abused us .

I at no point cheered against the vols, but I was quite apathetic at the end. Didn't even watch the last quarter. I honestly did not care about the outcome at that point. We need a change. Whether it is just firing the DC or the whole damn staff.

I don't see how our D is going to stop Missouri. We suck enough trying to guard 2-3 receivers....how are we going to guard 4-5 receivers the whole game? Plus trying to guard a fast QB. I believe we may lose this game...but I'm sure Dooley will have an excuse for that as well and will stay another week. Please UT....end our misery!!!

Playing against a mobile qb....he gets over 100yd on the ground easy...

I know I'm going to catch he** from this, but we will beat Mo. the defense will be alot better against Mo. We won't hold them to 100 yards total offense they ain't that good, but we will see improvement. Plus think about it I have to be right no way in he** we give up over 700 yards two weeks in a roll......... Right!!:)

I sat with some guys from work in section W this Saturday. I was not hoping we would lose but can tell you I was shocked at the season ticket holders sitting around me expressing their desire we would lose around the 6 minute mark of the 4th. They were very vocal. So my point is, a lot of people say they never wish for a loss. Those people were no place to be found in section W on Saturday.

Even with average coach we would only have 2 losses if that. Theres just to much talent to be 0-5 in the SEC for the 3rd straight yr.

The one sure-fire way to bring out the heroes and white knights is to say something like that even though were all thinking it.
