i just tried to laugh for 30 seconds. Impossible. And to picture a 30 second laugh and continuing the conversation sounds like SNL skit.

You have nothing to base your statement on that he is a good coach. Literally nothing he has done has hinted that he might be a good coach. There are plenty of things that point to him being a mediocre/bad coach but not really anything to the positive.

He's not a good recruiter. He obviously either can't pick defensive coordinators worth a damn or got screwed but either way he hasn't shown anything to support your statement.
