Yup. I feel fiesty tonight.

None of us can do a dang thing about the current HC'ing situation... I'm just having fun here tonight. I really do care about the current situation... I just live in reality. Lots of you post your wishes or desires as fact.

The only fact I see is that CDD is the current (under contract) HC and until Hart is standing behind a podium making the announcement everything else is speculation.

Although, if said process involves repeated failures to have 11 men on the field, then the process is going swimmingly.

The whole "process" and not worrying about "exciting the fan base" died with SportsCenter and the 24 Hour News Cycle. The days of a coach getting five years to turn around are long gone. Today's sports culture simply doesn't let you get away with it anymore, which is why some brilliant football minds like Fulmer, Tiller, and now, Tedford are washed away. It's not simply about x's and o's anymore.

Results matter, and concrete changes need to be seen, not pontificated.

If this were 1977, Dooley would get his two years. It isn't, and Tennessee sinks into irrelevance among the sports media.

That's a problem in an era where every top recruit is media-savvy and cognizant of what a school's media standing is.
