People forget about football games lost by the Vols on sunday, if they even knew if they won or not in the first place. People with no interest in football see this type of stuff, and it's embarrassing. It goes on Facebook and everywhere else and make us look like dumbasses. It's not staying away from critiquing a coach and it's not "accepting mediocrity" to not want to look like a childish fool while we go through this transition. It's business. Stop making it personal.

Ha. More people know that our team is an embarrassment. Nobody gives a **** what a student paints on the rock. Get over it.

With all the stupid flaming that goes on on this website alone, someone paints a rock and you act like it's suddenly a big deal?

Dooley is a ****ty coach and our team is an embarrassment. Some painting on a rock FOR THE PURPOSE OF FREE SPEECH has no bearing on that whatsoever.

If we go by your logic, you shouldn't post anything negative on here. You can't say anything negative on the radio. Nothing on Facebook. The number of people who pay attention to UT sports is smaller than you think and just like they forget we lost, they'll forget about the rock two minutes later.

I care more about those kids on the team and how they feel than whether any fans myself included have our freedom of expression on our approval or disapproval on the coach. Guess I so hate protestors so much goes back when I joined the military you still had college kids spitting on service members in uniform, to this day I don't like any derogatory mean spirited protest. That also includes negative comments his wife and kids hear, totally wrong to take it that far. JMO. So hate on me all you want. No need to hurt any innocent bystanders in the process, letters and emails voicing you opinion are far more appropriate.

I live in the state of stupid hippies, and I know exactly how you feel. The rock isn't saying anything but fire him. No matter where you shoot your gun, someone always gets hurt. Every action has a reaction. This is a reaction of 6 straight sec losses.

What's with VN and pulling the age card as if that makes you more intelligent? Half of the idiots on this board are over 40. Half of them are under. Age has nothing to do with it.

Eventually you'll realize that UT is currently irrelevant. The splash this rock painting makes is tiny, because nobody is paying attention. You'll see it pop up for a few days and then disappear.

That's how it goes. I don't see people crying every time a negative post pops up on VN. Here, it was posted on Reddit and here's a reply from a USC fan.

The comments on the post were either quoting the movie and laughing or a serious discussion on what the issues could be. No one was going OH MAN HOW OFFENSIVE. How DARE they use a pop culture reference? What the hell is this? Criticizing a college football coach making millions of dollars for not getting the job done? WELL I NEVER.
