As long as the messages on the rock stick to his and the staff's lack of coaching ability, then OK...paint away.

If the messages turn to more of a personal level against CDD and/or directed at his family then it's time to immediately paint over it and show some respect and class.

Absolutely agree. The rock is part of the job. If you suck at the job, the rock will tell you. Might be a punk thing to do, but it is absolutely going to happen any time the shiz hits the fan. Just keep it to the coaches. Leave players and family out of it.

I think he's sticking to the old Southern tradition of not airing your dirty laundry. So, if your coach sucks, don't you dare let people find out that your coach sucks. However, that evidence is on display every Saturday.

Sparty thinks that messages on the rock degrading your coach is uncalled for. I say that it is part of the job and always has been. If you don't want to be blasted on the rock, then don't suck.

Doesn't anyone remember the stuff that was painted on the rock with Kiffin bolted ... it was a million times worse than anything posted about Dooley. True Kiffin was due some criticism but not to the extent that was painted on the rock.

If anyone but Dooley is embarrassed by this, then they are a tad too sensitive. That's my argument. Dooley is most definitely fair game on this.

Oh yeah, sorry Sparty. I am all for keeping it positive. But at some point, you got to say that enough is enough. We are well past that point.

There is no way to hide it anymore. Dools can't coach. I really don't think he can even run the table in these final four games. I think perhaps that is why Hart hasn't already fired him...he is giving him plenty of rope to hang himself.

Then let it ride out. The rest is unnecessary, imo, and hinders the program more than it helps.

It is embarrassing. But there is no way to sweep it under the rug. We can't hide it. So my way of dealing with the ackward moments is attempts at humor.

I don't know anything about Zoolander but it was an inspired piece of work.


I think it is going to be embarrassing tomorrow when there are 5,000 Gruden masks in the crowd. And / or, the fans start chanting "Gruden".

It will be over with soon enough. Painful to watch....I agree.

Does it matter. If he has to walk by the rock every day to find out what the fans think about his coaching then he has more problems than just what is on the field. Fire Fulmer was painted on the rock through his season to. What is the difference?

At this point, not sure what could happen to further hinder the program? I think it is the same as the Georgia people with their Ray Gump stuff from the 90s.
