What happen to this thread? I leave 4 one hr to do some work and it goes to h*** in a hand basket. Did duckman show up again? Either get w this change or GO back to your own hole

I think many folks are overlooking Troy. I look for a very close game Saturday. They have a chance to beat a SEC team and they will come in like circling sharks. If their passing game is "on" we may be in for a long afternoon.

The fact that UT fans are concerned about Troy is very telling about the state of UT football.

Very likely that we could lose 1 of the last 4 games and maybe even 2.

In your opinion, which game(s), if lost, would ensure a Dooley firing?

The longer this situation drags on w/o any type of official announcement, the more people will begin to doubt that Gruden is coming and DD is gone. It's just human nature. Rumors can only be sustained so long, before some type of proof is required for people to keep believing. I actually know quite a few people who openly want us to lose, sooner rather than later, to speed the process and force an announcement one way or the other. I have the feeling there are many other fans, feeling the same way, that just haven't expressed it openly.

At this point (and I believed it all along), there is little chance Dooley is fired before the end of the season. Even if the decision to fire him has already been made.

Dave Hart may not want to have the media circus happen. He may prefer to hunt for a new coach in private and when he secures one, bring the axe doen on Dooley.

After all, I think they kind of owed it to Fulmer to give fans a chance to say goodbye.

Ok that makes sense. So if hart finds a coach can the coach sign on dotted line while Dooley still head coach?
