Not true, sorry.

Which part? It is old news.. And CDD said publicly that he just wanted them to call first..

I think he's right.. A program should have ground rules.. Practices should have rules..

Ppl r reaching for anything to use against CDD right now. I want a change too, but some of this stuff is just silly..

What kind of scene?

Probably just a rumor, but I remember reading about a couple former players causing a scene, acting like they owned the place and stuff. I can't remember the names though.

Was more there attitude than anything I believe.

For a good time, call 1-900-LoseALot...

I fully understand your point but you want to create an atmosphere where guys like you mention are there so often that it doesnt create a distraction. You want those kind of guys there all the time!

Truth. And you want them to feel honored for what they gave to the school. In my view, the best thing a new coach can do in this area, would be to communicate to any former players that they are welcome with open arms and here is how to visit without causing a problem.

Exactly. Another good recruiting tool. Hey Peyton, Eric Berry, Jamal Lewis, etc can be seen at practice if you come play for UT. Win, Win..

Because they called first. Dooley is the only coach that has put this as a requirement for attending practice. In the past a former player could come and be welcomed with open arms.

I know, that's what I was saying. Some are saying they are not allowed, when its more of call first and you can come.

I can see where former players are coming from, would probably upset me too. But if I was a coach and a high profile former player was coming, I would probably want a heads up to prepare.

I wasn't bashing you at all...just making it clear...I want Cheek and Dooley out of here now!

never took it that way...just thought it was a
decision between the Governor,BOR,and maybe SEC of ED
to appoint a flagship school president...but like you said, money talks, and thats all they basically do is fundraising and screwing up Athletic depts...

thanks for the info...

No Problem:salute:

They could still be welcomed with open arms.. Not sure why it's so hard to call someone first instead of just barging in.. It's about the players getting prepared in practice.. They need focus.. An unexpected visitor could disrupt focus.

Thanks! The part about Corona ending with MNF has me nodding my head . Timing fellas timing.

I didn't mean to overstate that as fact. My understanding is that Gruden was brought on this year. Corona already was a sponsor of MNF, see the MNF Bus.

I'm assuming there is no long term relationship between Gruden and Corona THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE MNF.

But you know what they say about "assuming".:)

Let it get out he wouldn't let inky on the practice field and his house would be burnt down

Even without distractions.... He's still not getting the job done regardless

Kind of doubt Peyton or Eric Berry were causing scenes. Its about Dooley being an a$$ and being controlling.

He's head freaking coach! It's his job to be controlling. What is wrong with u ppl??

He just wants to know when someone is crashing an organized team activity.. Nothing else..

The call ahead rule isn't working...this team doesn't have any focus

with all this discussion about former Vols at practice,
I wonder if they are distracting the defensive coaches
so they can't teach... because it sure looks like it...
