Orange...I think we are butting heads while trying to say the same thing. Ive said before, message boards do not convey tone or intent in conversation. I'm sorry if you felt like my post was inflammatory but it was not posed as an insult, it is a statement of how I feel toward God, as he is a comforter and friend in time of need and concern, as he should be. I worry about any christian who does not see him this way...ursurping God role is the path Lucifer took.

All the above is true. But what is also true is that the quote in ephesians about coming under the headship of Christ is the base for being like little children in faith, we are to be strong and put on the whole armor of God, but this does not take away from the submissiveness and place of the children of God in faith. If we are too strong then we lose the need for God altogether...even a warrior has a general and turns to him when times are confusing.

I'm not the best at all this "talk"...living it is what we are actually supposed to be doing. While I take absolute strength and courage in my role, I also know that I am nothing without the comfort and support of God, and the peace that surpasses all understanding in bad times.

For me the purpose of the church is to receive manna from heaven, join in fellowship licks of fire together as in the day of Pentecost, and to realize our place, and that is as a SERVANT of God, following his WILL, not trying to infer his will or take charge of our roles without his consult.

The tension came from the initial comment about knowing nothing about church. Do not suppose such things sir, especially when trying to be a representative of Christ. This is what turns people off...

I do not expect us or anyone to see eye to eye about religion and individual assessments, that's the beauty of free will and spiritual revelation, to each his own my friend.

Wishing you and yours the best.

We good?

Thanks!

Allright Volnation, back on topic eh? If we had PM we could do this there.

I get what you both are saying. I did not take offense to your quote, but tried to point out that it wasnt an accurate portrayal but also didnt presume you meant harm by it. I respect you both and I agree with OrangeCrush about the role of church

Tennessee Property Data Home Page OK here it goes time for a conspiracy. Try to click on Knox County Info, it is missing from the list also click on the county itself. Info isn't there. So who has the power to take the info of the tax assessment page? The governor thats who. Who is that? One of UTK's biggest boosters....shizzle just got realizzle.

Oliver Stoneish....but I like it.

This got bigger than I intended. Wasn't judging you or trying to start arguments with him. Just wanted to respond with a fuller understanding based on what the Bible actually says on the matter, and what Jesus' actual definition was. :)

:hi:

We're all good my brother, appreciate your zeal.

I pointed out that that was not the purpose of church in my responses. I was alluding more to the point I thought he was trying to make, while disagreeing with his portrayal of church. His perception was that some people go for encouragement and hope, and some do. That is not the primary function of course and a true believer will go the the Father for that but a nwer person in the faith may not understand the purpose of church. I didnt read too much into his comment really

I did not see this earlier. I agree it is not the primary function but it is a function and can we agree, that in the grand scheme of the curch, is any one function greater than the other?

No enemies here.

There was talk of Cindy Gruden "liking" a real estate agency in Knoxville on Facebook.......not sayin', just sayin'.

She has about 5 "Likes" on her FB page, none of them are TN realty companies. She does have a friend that works for Coldwell Bankers.
