Ive never stopped wanting the Vols to win...Dooley just can't win. The guy is clueless and you must be a relative of his.

What are you guys smoking? Gruden ain't comin here. He is making maybe $4-5M on MNF just talking NFL football which is his expertise. It would take $7-8M to get him to even consider coming to UT or any college football job. It would take another $2-3M for his asst. coaches and another $9M to buy out the current staff. The change could easily mean $15-20M when all is said and done. I could be off a couple of million, but I just don't believe the program will cough up that kind of money.

If you guys want another "up and coming" mid major coach, just keep yelling for Dooley's head.

Hey, I know. By the way I've been a Tennessee fan all my life. I have blood relatives with their names on the Wall of Fame which is on the UT campus. 4 of them to be exact. My daughter graduated from UT in May 2010.

From West Tennessee.

I'm just wondering why so many of you Dooley haters think Gruden is such a surefire guaranteed success. His record doesn't give me that kind of confidence.

Was saban a guarnteed success?

Energize the fan base, get recruits, basic coaching 101.

No hate for Dooley with me. But we need a different coach. Losing happens sometimes, not being competitive at Tennessee is wrong in so many ways.

We don't hate Dooley. He is a professional and gets paid to perform. If I don't perform at my job, I lose it. Dooley isn't performing, is making millions, and should be held accountable. I want to see Tennessee win again, compete with the Floridas and Bama's of the world. Waiting until November to get our first SEC win is not who we are. In fact, the perennial doormat schools would not put up with it. Why should we?

Yes....its either in Jefferson or Sevier County as far as I know. Too far to commute to the office.

Get over it, Gruden is staying with MNF or the NFL.

Arkansas will hire Pete Carroll and Tennessee will hire Bobby Petrino.

Actually we are just as good as bama and expect just as much. The last four years doesn't change that. You would not have made that statement a few years ago when bama was down and UT was still on top. Nothing has changed just because we are down right now. UT and bama are the two winningest programs in the SEC. Bama was further down than us, it happens, but the elite will always be back.

To reaffirm your point, I work in banking and with loans and it can take upto 4-6 weeks for things to finalize, just on our end without hiccups.
