Let me make this short.

Besides the contracts and buyouts...

Consider we all and the athletic department understood we were and are in a rebuilding process.

Given that. We know its a hard road to travel.

When Dooley took on the job, when no one else would, we started walking down that road. With the strong state of the SEC it's understandable it's hard enough to crawl down that road much less run down it.

A 4-3 D wasn't going to allow us to compete like we want in the SEC. So what happens?

Hart and Dooley chose a DC that would help us transition to a 3-4.

Yes that sets us back a bit more. But everyone is talking about it takes money to make money. Well...same thing apples here. You have to set yourself back to be able to move forward. Like a rollercoaster.

Hart and Dooley understand, as well as boosters, that we may not have instant success, but allow them to find players that know the system coming in and compete.

With the talent we have, I've been happy with them competing like they have this year. Yes, I'd love to see more W's but they will come.

We now have a rebuilt foundation with talented players. We are growing.

So Hart knows what making the transition to a 3-4 could and probably would mean.

Dooley is a character guy. We don't need to keep talking about new coaches.

We need to talk about what changes on the field we need to make so that those moral victories turn into victories!

And it's not a new coach at the moment.

Our fan base needs to step it up in their combined logic. Be logical. Not emotional. Easier said than done, but still we need to learnt to bit the bullet.

Bc even if we hired Gruden or anyone, they would need time to put their stamp on the program and cross their fingers and pray theirs will be competitive.

The nature of the game is there are no guarantees.

Just bc Dooley doesn't have the rep or looks you might like doesn't mean once he puts into place his system and get the players AFTER rebuilding the foundation that he won't be successful.

Look at our offense, great!

Look at our defense, not so great!

That's bc we had to take a step back again to transition for our future, a brighter more competitive future, and its going to take a minute to get those players on defense.

So chill on filling up every thread with talking new coaches and be logical and allow our AD and coaches do what needs to be done even if they are putting the bullet on our mouths to bite.

Lets go enjoy some Fall Ball and try to shine some sun in these flowers. They need food and support

By the end of contracts the transition will be made and the players will be instilled. Allowing a new coach, then, to have the team and system they need to be successful as compete, if Dooley can't get it done by then.

Go Vols! Go BIG ORANGE!!!

(Guess I didn't make that short)

You do realize this is the coaching speculation section of this site??

I think you will fit in just fine in the Football Forum. Go make some more repetitive, not so short, *****ing threads over there.

Just thinking. Like in the animal kingdom. There is always the most dominate then they get knocked off. Then another takes top spot. Then later another will take his spot.

We had our time. Can't stay on too forever. We have to do what we need to to take the top spot again.

Stay the course and make the changes we need to make. It's an investment in our future and just pray the Strategic changes will pay off no matter who is coaching or being coached against in the future. That's football.

LSU, Auburn(2010) and USCe use a 4-3 D, can they not compete in the SEC?

0-5 in SEC play for the 3rd year in a row makes you happy?

Is it logical to support a sinking ship? Should the band play on?

Alright. You have a point. I figure I'd get this response wherever I posted this thread at. This is my first one. So whatever.

Sorry I don't sorry I didn't stand in the circle with the rest of you guys with boners for Gruden.

I'd love to have him. But it's not time.

Don't want to support Tennessee football and always be unhappy with not being top 5 every single season forever then GTFO!

You'll never be happy.

My point Is Dooley or not, we aren't there yet. We are making huge changes to our program that will allow us the chance to win em all, hopefully sooner than later.

The answer to your question is 0%, but they wouldn't then be considered a winning program.

With the right changes and time. We will be a winning program again.

Okay what would you like to talk about? Your post was lacking details.

Well I guess. I was hoping to influence a positive change in the culture of Volnation on this forum.

So much doom and gloom.

We need more "sunshine pumpers".

How is positivity a negative thing? Negative things are negative things and have a negative effect on fans, and recruits.

It's just shooting ourselves in the foot and at least, doing ourselves and no one else any good.

With the RIGHT changes and time we will have a proven coach...

How you people keep faith in Dools is beyond me...

You dont think 3 years is enough time to beat MS or have enough talent to keep florida on the ropes and win that game?

2.5 years sry
