all this talk has to be killing recruiting,it won't be hard to change some players mind, Hart does need to do something, one way or another, I do believe if CDD is successful the rest of the year he will most likely stay, but i couldn't believe CPF got treated like he did either

There are very few people in this world who have been treated like Dooley has. I could go either way on whether we keep him. I like him, but I can also see his flaws. But man! I have never doubted for a minute that guy was giving his all to Tennessee. And after dragging our program out of the ditch, the fan base as a whole would rather hand him over to the Taliban.

OCI is like the Riddler.

I'm not sure which is more pathetic: trolling a fanbase desperate for good news or coming over here and acting like the shiz for doing it.

Obviously this site has no standards, or OCI would be banned.

Fresh air post. :hi:

No. The gruds need to hold themselves responsible for acting the fool to begin with.

Yep. I don't pretend to know what's going to happen, but I have a very strong sense this was all a big hoax. We are probably going after Gruden, but nearly to the degree folks on this site have allowed themselves to believe we are. Too bad.

I agree the Dooley bashing is overboard...do I believe the guy is a good coach? No. Do I appreciate his effort. Absolutely. The real point Kletus is that 4 years after CPF was fired the Vol fan base is more divided than ever...this crap is proof...CDD has made it worse by his performance...we are all on the same team here...with the exception of some on here who blatantly lie.

Time will tell...let the "Grudes" have fun...what does it hurt...in the end right/wrong is irrelevant. We all want a winning team we can enjoy cheering for.

Being this butthurt about it is more pathetic. By a longshot.

So what you are saying is that you are basically just trolling the board, correct?

It is hard to tell IMO, it could be that he is fed up with people not believing him and he is just being a d*ck right now. The two comments he made could be sarcasm

It's like Mr. Potato head. You can really put anything anywhere and win, but this is a helpful guide to make you a better Gruden Insider:

"Hey guys, I know I don't post much over here, so you can (a.)________. I just got done(b.)_______, and this is what I found out. Dooley is absolutely (c.)_________. This was up in the air until (d.)______. Now, regarding Gruden, (e.)________. I think it is absolutely time too! Dooley has (f.) _______ and deserves this. You can look for an official announcement (g.)________. Of course everyone in the media will continue to deny this because (h.)____. And before anyone brings up the Randy Shannon thing I said last year, (i.)_______

Right there. Keep in mind I'm not bashing you, but right there you said "Coach Dooley has made it worse". That's the sentiment driving all of the negativity. I agree that his performance has not been stellar but I also think the players themselves have a vestment to play to the best of their ability everytime they step on the field. Dropped balls and missed tackles have cost us the wins this year. These kids were recruited because they could catch and tackle. Scheme or no scheme they still have the fundamentals. If coaching is the sole problem, why is Z Rogers better this year - and JH not? I firmly believe this team is a product, a fragile product of last years beatdowns and is mentally having trouble. Coaching, perhaps. Players perhaps. But one thing is certain, all of this negativity is adding to the fragile mindset of these young players. Just me little old opinion.

I completely agree that players shoulder some of the blame. However, you and I both know players are a reflection of coaching. Is this team mentally fragile? Yes. Upon who's shoulders does that ultimately rest? The coaching staff and ultimately CDD. Now I agree CDD walked into a mess. Unfortunately there is not a ton of evidence that he is capable of pulling us all the way out. Having said that he has done some things well. As far as fan negativity being an overriding part of the problem I just don't buy that. Fans respond to what they see on the field...if the vols were winning on the field you wouldn't see near the negativity. There was so much positive energy on this site going into the Florida game.. I was at the game...the fan base was ROCKING and all in behind the team...even the MSU game had good vibes going in...but fan positivity did not propel the players to win any more than fan negativity contributes to a loss. No offense meant...you seem level headed and respectful.

I agree with you. I think the fault of this season is on coaches and players alike. I see some players that have gotten better and some that haven't part of that is them putting in the extra work themselves coaches can only spend so much time with them. I do wish people would show Dooley more respect for what he's done for this school even if you think he's a bad coach I believe he loves this school and had busted his butt here the past few years.

I believe CDD has done the absolute best he can do...he has tried hard...I deeply respect him for that and truly do like the guy (what I know of him which is public appearances and interviews)...but let's be honest...this was a HUGE opportunity for him...one that he would have been a fool to pass up. Let's not assume he has this great love for UT...he may...but odds are his ultimate loyalty to UT is not about Orange and White, running through the T and all the history (that's why we fans love it)...most likely his loyalty is based upon the paycheck and the fame it brings him...not saying he is wrong with that but let's not act like he is a Vol legend like Coach Fulmer.

I don't know him personally at all so I don't know if he loves this university or not or how much the tradition means to him. I know I've had jobs places that I loved that's where I was drawing that conclusion from. I would have to say though if this is the fame that Dooley wanted he got screwed lol We're gonna be hard pressed to find a Vol Legend to come be our head coach anytime soon cause I can't think of any even close to being ready for that maybe I'm missing someone though.
