At the rate this is progressing, I'm beginning to wonder if Gruden and his entire staff will be coaching UT this year. I kid...well kind of...

Why not? You seriously believe that Jon Gruden flies charter everywhere he goes?

That is not saying that I believe that he was at Tyson, but he most certainly does fly commercial airlines.

Hard to take this seriously, when (1) Dooley has not been dismissed and (2) Gruden has not been officially confirmed.

When will we know something concrete?

But, this information could be presuming victories in the final four games, just as at least some of the predictions of a post-SCar CDD announcement likely presume defeat tomorrow. If we lose to Troy, for example, that could be the final straw. If we get to 6-4 and then lose in Nashville, they may not announce a firing that week, simply because there's only one game left at that point.

I think it's possible an announcement is made after the next UT loss, whenever it is, and CDD possibly stays if we reach 8-4.

If it's true that CDD is being fired no matter what, I expect an announcement next week if we lose tomorrow. I don't believe that we could lose tomorrow, and then keep CDD until the buyout is negotiated or Gruden is secured or whatever, and then fire him, say, the Monday after beating Missouri or Troy.

the most likely scenario is announcing a coaching change at the end of the year, not after this weekend.

I think they would do that so we wouldnt have an Arkansas-like collapse during the final four games.

I also think even if Gruden is target #1 they HAVE to have a list of other guys as backup in case Gruden says thanks but no thanks. I dont think they would risk firing CDD on Monday and have no sure thing lined up. I think they would rather take the next month to make sure everything is lined up proper.

For the argument he won the Super Bowl with Dungy's guys...he coached against a team in that Super Bowl that you could also argue was his.

Interesting. OCI, what's the timetable you think Gruden will be hired? Right after the South Carolina game, or somewhere like after Kentucky.

Think my favorite thing about this is that Gruden actually does love UT. Wouldn't just be a hired gun. Could make even more at Arkansas according to Basilio.

Redskins db's are looking terrible right now but I don't really blame Raheem, skins have had some bad injuries in the secondary. I think he'd be a solid defensive coordinator.
