I agreed with most of it except for the nfl coaches work twice as hard statement. I don't buy that for one minute. Yes the 20 hour rule means less time on the field but trade one thing for another. Recruiting, dealing with boosters, and academics more than take up the slack.
Saw earlier that Saban works 15 hrs/day. I've heard many NFL guys talk about getting to the office at 5 AM, working to 1-2 AM, driving home to sleep for 2-3 hours then repeat.
Not much going on in college between NSD & spring practice. Then summer is pretty quiet cause kids aren't there. Even between the season and bowl game, practice is limited and contracting recruits gets restricted.
NFL season stretches from September to January with no break (or February if you're good). As soon as the season ends, they have to prep for the draft. After the draft it's OTAs. Then free agency planning. Then preseason. Those guys get a 2-3 week break max all year.
Morning boys and girls, it's good to see the usual lineup of reasonable folks on here again. I was starting to wonder. My usual pregame anticipation has again given way to pregame dread and I'm tired of it. Keep the good news rolling! Have a good day all.:hi:
Did anyone convince Carter to keep bringing info when I left yesterday he wasgetting bashed and said he was out
