I agreed with most of it except for the nfl coaches work twice as hard statement. I don't buy that for one minute. Yes the 20 hour rule means less time on the field but trade one thing for another. Recruiting, dealing with boosters, and academics more than take up the slack.

Saw earlier that Saban works 15 hrs/day. I've heard many NFL guys talk about getting to the office at 5 AM, working to 1-2 AM, driving home to sleep for 2-3 hours then repeat.

Not much going on in college between NSD & spring practice. Then summer is pretty quiet cause kids aren't there. Even between the season and bowl game, practice is limited and contracting recruits gets restricted.

NFL season stretches from September to January with no break (or February if you're good). As soon as the season ends, they have to prep for the draft. After the draft it's OTAs. Then free agency planning. Then preseason. Those guys get a 2-3 week break max all year.

Grudens in laws live in Chestnut Hills, it is between the Cocke and Sevier County lines. Chucky was spotted numerous times this past summer on Douglas lake.

Chucky spent time this summer with our Vols helping out and doing some coaching clinic type things.

Sounds brutal.

Just tell Chucky to stay away from Cocke County as much as possible. That place is Justified scary on the way to Hot Springs.

Morning boys and girls, it's good to see the usual lineup of reasonable folks on here again. I was starting to wonder. My usual pregame anticipation has again given way to pregame dread and I'm tired of it. Keep the good news rolling! Have a good day all.:hi:

Did anyone convince Carter to keep bringing info when I left yesterday he was getting bashed and said he was out

Don't know. Easiest to just step away and ignore the bashing. The haters are not that committed.....they eventually go away.

You have been named the poster-child for Grudenite Converts by the way.

It is. No coincidence that Andy Reids family life is a wreck. Same thing with Dungy, thats why he got out and won't go back. Almost every NFL coach looks like bus ran over him at the end of the season. To be successful you have to be the ultimate grinder.

I think he'll be back. Hope so anyway. He did get a little hot under the collar last night which is something we all probably do. He's been around here for a good while, so I hope he lets that just roll off like water from a ducks
back.
