We all do!!!! Keep hearing these nimrods on radio telling us we are foolish for discussing this when we have a current coach and games to play! REALLY? REALLY? Without thinking about our next coach (GRUDEN) there is no hope. They tell us to get a life. I say to them get your head out of your ass.

My only contributions to these three Gruden threads have been some kinda sad attempts at photoshopping Gruden into Vol colors, situations and even on a magazine cover.

However, I think I have read every post in all three threads. And I've yet to read where OldVol, DTO, Marl-Boro nor SBV have backed off on any of their info.

They could have kept this info to themselves. And then we would not have had all this Gruden talk. That woudl have been sad, because the first two threads were the most entertaining of any on VN in quite some time.

Been on and off all day...what actually happened on here to make people lose faith? All I saw was a bunch of doubters flood the board but nothing concrete...I'm still in the same place I was...I am hoping...excited about the possibility...and will believe the hire is Gruden until its not.

Wow guys this thread has really blowed up. I see that a few more people still trying to endorse dooley. I really don't think that he needs endorsing. He wrote his own meal ticket. He had his chance and really messed it up. His tirades are another sign he is done. People really need to believe what is happening. He does not have the backing of a single mega booster on campus. The reason the AD does not deny it is they like to let it go on amongst us. The only way they will get involved is if it starts digging into major media and then you will see a little bit of PR work being done. Hart has a backbone and a big enuf set to do this. Their is a process and it has to go through it. Radio will deny but in essence they do not have the connections other than to the current coaching staff and of course they are going to say NO because they have a job to keep. Truth is Gruden will more than likely be wearing orange on the sideline next year. Just this takes time.

LWSVol said no chance. He's also an insider but a lot of people think he doesn't know as much as he used to. Someone a few hundred posts back made a good point. The people with connections in the AD think there's no way this happens, while the people who's connections are boosters say it's happening.

Seems plausible.

I doubt raheem morris would but after talking with co-workers that are very good friends of pat morris (offensive line coach and friend of jon gruden) i know for a fact he is seriously considering his offer to coach with gruden this fall. He would not reveal if this was at tennessee or with the browns but only that gruden has spoken to him about this. He said that everything is being kept extremely quiet but that gruden is very likely to be coaching this fall and he is putting out feelers regarding his staff. Oddly, he said that the no state income tax in tennessee was very appealing to gruden but he also said he was considering his options. He specifically mentioned the browns as one of those options. This conversation came about yesterday after I came back from lunch and casually mentioned how the radio and internet were blowing up with gruden talk. My boss being from clearwater started talking to me and the next thing I know he is texting p morris to find out if he had heard anything since he is friends w gruden. Morris was vague in his intial reply but last night called and spoke to him about it. This of course is hush hush and i was told to keep it quiet so i hope to god that he is not on volnation!

So, if Jimmy Haslem is really this hot for Jon Gruden and willing to dump $5 million plus (or whatever) to help pay salary and buy outs, why doesn't he just hire Gruden to be the HFC for the NFL team he owns?

I bet his love for UT doesn't run as deep as his love for his billion dollar investment. Something here doesn't pass the sniff test. And all the time I've been following the hysteria at VolNation, 9 times out of 10 the hysteria winds up being for naught.

I respect SBV as much as anyone on the board and feel he isn't a self promoter or trolling, but I'll believe this when I see it.
