Official Jon Gruden Thread III

What a roller coaster ride this saga has become. I am going into wait and see mode. I am not doubting any of the posters providing the info. I believe they 100% trust the things they have been told. I guess my own Hamilton Hangover just won't allow me to get my hopes up. I will start buying in when Dooley is officially given the axe. The longer this takes to happen, the worse off the program will get. The longer they drag their feet, the more recruiting falls apart. So for now, like my old man told me years ago, I will hope for the best and expect the worst.

Fulmer applied the poison.
Kiffin put the knife in the back.
Dooley nailed the coffin shut.

your old man is wise.

And generally, that's been my position for a long time. It is what it is, and it will work itself out. Getting pissed along the way doesn't help, and not getting pissed sure doesn't mean you don't care.
We have zero control, no matter what anyone says, in regards to when DD is gone and who replaces him, so we might as well roll with what comes our way and hope for some decent football to watch on the ride.

And lets not discount anyone coming in here "who has connections" slowing the rush down because said connections have asked him to.

Good God I don't have the time to read through this entire thread, but I notice that a couple of normally reputable posters are saying the same thing: Gruden to UT is done.

We've all been burned before, but I have just a little optimism that it may be true. At least that's what I want to believe.

He isnt trolling and he isnt lying. He is simply doing exactly what you are doing which is posting what he has been told by people he trust who are connected. I dont agree with him, but he isnt trolling or lying.

Keep telling yourself that.

He made a mistake by giving me too much information to go on during one of our daily arguments.

It's all good though.

Not really. I don't think anyone really knows the exact timeline at this moment. I will say if we lose Saturday I have faith it will be done next week.

This is what I was getting at in my previous post. There are a lot of factors going into the timeline.

People are trying so hard to make this happen. I got news for you....creating a rumor out of thin air doesnt make it any more likely to come true.

Not true. Sometimes when a voice of the masses is heard it picks up to where the higher ups can't ignore it and therefore do more financially to make it happen.

People are trying so hard to make this happen. I got news for you....creating a rumor out of thin air doesnt make it any more likely to come true. You guys are like coke heads who havent had a hit in years, its pathetic if you ask me, which you didnt but oh well. Get a grip people.

Says the guy going out of his way to talk to crazy coke heads.

What's more pathetic...

Being a cokehead.

Or being sober, reading what coke heads have to say and insulting coke heads.

You have nothing better to do than spend your time on coke heads. Do a line, it wouldn't be any more pathetic than being sober hanging out with coke heads.

Without giving us a name, can you give us something to be confident in your source?

I tend to believe you, but there are several others claiming the exact opposite (TSR for example).

TSR has claimed no such thing. It's time to separate whiny ***** "sources" (Matthews) from the actual media outlet (TSR). There has yet to be a respectable media member come out and flatly deny this report.

Can't wait for all the Barbara Doorights to have a Chris Matthews sized meltdown when Gruden is announced head coach.

OHNOZ THEM THERE INSIDERS WAS RIGHT.

if you are on either end of caring that much about who is right and who is wrong when this thing pans out, you have other issues that need addressing.
