I have said this before but based on his eagerness to put his body in harms way by getting back on the sidelines against Bama I believe this isn't true. He may have been told after the Bama game but him risking his own health to be on the sidelines would not have happened if he knew he was canned.
Before the public blowup in the AD this week they, and by they I mean Hart, wanted to give Dooley the opportunity to go out on his terms. They were going to let him decide how it would go depending on what he felt was best for him.

When he got into the shouting match with Hart, he messed in his lunchbox.

This is what I have been told. TIFWIW....or don't.

So when will Dooley be let go?

Well...I usually do listen to Skeeter.

SMH, just would be really hard to sell to the media firing your coach the days after his biggest win.

I guess if you have Gruden on the line it doesn't matter.

Oh well...I hope we win Saturday no matter what happens after!

While your point is valid, it's also pretty clear this team isn't beating SC this weekend like you said. Thus, moot.

If you really think about it, this team is playing very similar to the last team we had with a lame duck coach (Fulmer's last year). The effort isn't there, the focus isn't there, despite clear advantages in talent against opposing teams. This team is playing exactly like a team who's head coach ain't gonna be there next year.

why did they have to get waivers? Meyer claimed it was a hardship issue because of short staff.

I found a link that stated all 10 allowable coaches coached the bowl game. I don't know how to link it but it didn't mention any other new coaches recruiting besides UM like I recalled. They were given a waiver to allow him to recruit which would allow DD to coach out the year as I suspect will happen.

That is just it man, his biggest win will be against a South Carolina team that is highly overrated and coming off of two curb stompings. Not that impressive.

Pretty much the same thing Basilio said earlier. Dooley's attitude has brought this thing to a head fast.

1. He doesn't have to sell it to the media. He has to sell it to the fan base. I don't see that as a tough sell right now.

2. I absolutely agree with this. Given where we are, if you have the chance to sign Gruden or keep Dooley its not really a choice.

The scary thing is that people believe this crap.

your in a thread with over 2,500 post about Gruden being named coach and DD being fired after M State, I mean Bama, no i mean Sc., and with all involved being friends with anonymous sources, and yet you find it hard to believe that a coach would be fired before the end of the season to ensure losses. :loco:

Not only this, but he also has lost the team. Couple that with his crap with unc, end of last year, and his recent head butting with Hart has sealed his fate.

I can except that for sure but why risk our own health by getting on the sidelines if you already knew you were getting fired?

That tells me he hadnt been told before the game.

I think it's borderline puss to call Ainge a drug Addict (present tense) from behind your keyboard just to discredit anything he says. He did have issues with drugs, but who put you on your high horse? You ever smoke cigarettes, drink beer, eat to much bad food? Those are all harmful addictions as well.

He'll, if we are making judgements on ppl, I'd say you wouldn't dare make fun if him to his face or anybody else without the Internet to protect you.

My point, the guy fought back to shed a terrible addiction, confessed his problems to the world, and is doing well now. Try to use credible statements instead of just throwing in live grenades to get a response...
