Um. Ok?

I just think it's stupid for people to say "we can go 9-4 still!" as a preface to an argument. Yes, it is mathematically possible, but it's not going to happen.

Alabama can also go 7-6.

It would make just as much sense to make a decision at this point based on the assumption that Bama is going to go undefeated. It's a dumb bet. Especially in the SEC where anything can happen.

I just hope they don't make Chaney interim HC. If he has two specialties its abandoning the run too early and forcing plays to Hunter. When you consider the receiving corps as a whole (z Rogers, Rivera, Patterson, hunter) it's kind of sad they tend to be so one dimensional.

Yeah cause the offense has been the problem.

play calling has been the problem, 3 and outs have been the problem, throwing deep on 3rd and short, again, is the problem.

and for those that say we're scoring plenty of points, the rule states that you have to OUTSCORE THE OPPONENT!!

The sooner they announce Dooley is gone, the happier I will be.....this is already a mediocre season at best....so now I don't care bout hurting our chances against SC I want him gone from UT immediately and get a new hire in here ASAP. Also, any new candidate news? We can be really good next year if we bring in the right guy and hopefully he will bring a qb coach for Bray to actually utillilize his talent and an oc who will get our best players actual touches.

Who's to say he might be asked to let some people go before he's fired himself?

1, we are not sure if he is leaving.

2, No big name coach, unless a commentator on TV as of now :p , will accept the job mid season. This will tank our recruiting class.

Making an immediate announcement on Dooley would really do little but demoralize our own team. It is difficult to talk to successful, active coaches at other schools at this time. Which of the coaches you guys want (I consider the Gruden posts to be attempts at humor) would even agree to an acknowledgement we were talking to him at this time. And, it would be announced, because we would have to get permission for the current school--unless we wanted to try to sneak it by them like Auburn talking to Petrino. Either we limit our search to unemployed coaches, unsuccessful coaches, or we wait until the season ends.

Dooley isn't the answer. That being said if we are gonna fire him just to bring in another bargain up and comer coach then whats the point? Hopefully the AD and boosters realise that we HAVE to pay out big $ to get a great coach who can fix this.

P.S. "But we're broke and can't afford his buyout/a big name coach"... To that I say Jimmy Haslam just bought the Browns for a billion dollars. A billion dollars people. You are telling me that if a big name coach wants to come here our donors won't pick up the tab?

That is what alot of fans on here don't get...Arkansans is going to pounce and pounce hard as quick as they can at the end of the season. Auburn will too. Not to mention big state oil money Texas might be ready to pull the trigger. We can not afford to be debating keeping Dooley or letting him go by mid-January.

It is a last one home is a rotten egg kind of situation we are in right now.

Do you want to be that egg ^^^^^ right there?

It's not going to be announced because no decision has been made. Not when the guy could still go 9-4 with a bowl win. Use logic OP.

with that argument, we should have gotten 77 points if we lost a game 73-70?
